Hi everyone! So I recently got an eRoll, which i love, and my fiancé tells me that ecigs have exploded on people. I'm obviously not keen on having something explode on my face, and now he has kinda scared me, since googling this up, has delivered some stuff related to that, though I never see the brand of the ecig mentioned. Has anyone had any issues with the eRoll or anything else blowing up on them? Is it safe, as in not going to explode or cause a fire. I want to keep using the eRoll, but now wonder if I'm putting myself in danger.
Thanks in advance

I have never specifically used an eRoll but the only instances that I have heard of an ecig exploding were from people charging their ecig over night with a rapid charge cell phone charger that most phones use these days. One of my customers had that happen to him but he was using a cell phone charger on an PT ego. Just be sure to keep an eye on the charging of your device and you should be gravy!

I don't expect an eroll to explode any time soon. Most of what you're talking about is idiots trying to run their unregulated mech mods improperly.

Thank you for that reassurance! I figured if no one here has heard of an eRoll explosion, then I'm probably safe :) I don't even leave my coffee pot plugged in, so I will be very careful with the charger on this as well.

They are as safe as your cell phone or laptop.
There is quite a bit of misinformation & flat out BS surrounding ecigs / vaping coming from sources that have anti ecig / vaping agendas. (AKA those that don't know their rump from a head of broccoli).

Common sense with any battery operated portable electronics is a good idea, like use the correct charger, don't leave them in a hot vehicle / direct sunlight in hot climates, don't get them wet etc...

Thank you! these replies are very helpful for me. I was starting to look at my eRoll like a ticking time bomb LOL.. I'll definitely not leave in sun or heat or leave the charger unattended.

As already stated - the explosions you hear about are from people who are using mechanical mods with rebuildable RBA's or RDA's and they are exceeding what their batteries can handle or they are using batteries that aren't made for vaping like laptop batteries. What you're hearing about is called "thermal runaway".

As long as you're charging with the appropriate charger, you'll be fine.

You remember when the Toyota would not stop there was a big woop-tee-doo over it , turned out that it was bad parts in less then .05% of cars. It may have ben something someone did to the car ??.
There are low end battery's that are imported to the US and other places that are junk, bad, and just crap .
Stick to the good brands you know and your safe , I haven't had any problem with battery's and I charge three different type's
Best wishes and vape on

Thank you for the replies.. I think this story is what worried me was the one on the internet titled "Man's narrow escape after exploding e-cigarette starts fire in bedroom" because it wasn't a mod or anything, it seems like it was a regular ecig, and he said it wasn't on the the charge, but maybe it was a piece of junk. I think eRoll is supposed to be good/ have a good reputation etc.

Cheap ecigs are bound to fail once in a while. Most of the time they button just stops working but I did hear a story from a customer where his button stuck but that was his fault. He spilt pop on it the night before and the button was catching from the stickiness. 99.9% of the time its plain user error.

I won't have a button issue, because the eRoll has no button. One less thing to worry about :)
