"It sounds like you want to quit entirely."

Well yeah, I did say "I want to ween myself off." The lowest nic I could find was 3mg, but considering how much I smoked and it's been over 4 years since I quit it's basically a placebo now.

Thanks for the advice.
Yeah. It’s a racket designed to keep you addicted. If you don’t DIY (which you may want to look into. Flavoring can actually be the highest cost and you don’t use any. I suspect $5/bottle is doable) what you would do is take a full 3mg/ml bottle, and an empty one, dump half of the full one into the empty one, and fill it up with base, which you can get on Amazon. I generally buy half-gallon jugs for about $20. If you’re feeling real real cheap you can buy gallon jugs from a farm supply store. It’s used as a cattle laxative (or if you drink some a person laxative).

This gives you 2 bottles of 1.5. If you vape one then do it again with the second one, you have 2 bottles of 0.75. Rinse and repeat. Eventually you get so near zero it might as well be zero, at which point you can vape just base till you kind of go “why am I even doing this?!” And you’re done.

It takes a while. Multiple months. The white horse takes only a month, but done is done. And it’s not annoying.

One thing to keep in mind is that nicotine is an anti-anxiety. I had to start taking a rather old antihistamine that is also used as a non-addictive anti-anxiety.

3mg/ml is the same as a light cigarette. Not even an ultralight quitting off 3 is the same as quitting lights cold turkey. ( yes, it’s evil) The only saving grace is that they also sell zero. They just don’t tell people how to use it.

When you say it's the same as a light, surely you don't mean one hit is equal to a whole light smoke do you?

I do. Puff for puff anyway. Ultralights. People quit from them. It’s just hard. Iirc ultralights are lights with air holes punched through n the side of the filter ina way that leverage the difference between smoking machines and actual hunans

Right. I meant does one puff off my 3mg vape = one whole light cigarette. I don't understand. Is it or is one puff = to one vape hit? Thanks
Puff for puff. Cigarettes tend to have fewer puffs in them. The difference between a light/ultralight cigarette and a full strength one is the tobacco is packed more loosely, the paper is treated differently to burn faster, and there are tiny pin holes in the paper. Generally more steps are taken with an ultralight. The “tobacco” (these days it’s not actually tobacco anymore but chopped up paper made from tobacco and retreated with liquid nicotine. The creep of en....ification. Costs more, is worse. You expected anything other than naked greed?) is the same.

I've never expected anything but greed from the tobacco companies and all corporations for that matter, Puff for puff is the info I was looking for, thanks. Plus, in (non-flavoured) vape there isn't that cocktail of added chems in a .../filters. All good news for me, as I don't hit a vape -- for the most part -- like I would a ..... Cheers.
