....HELLO!!....my husband and I both recently quit smoking and have been introduced to the world of "vaping." We received as a gift the kit for the eGO-1100mah (don't even know if I am using the proper "vaping verbage") and are not able to use 3 of the 1100 mah batteries; 2 will only work with the "spacers" and one will not take a charge at all...could it be that all 3 of these batteries are defective, or are we missing something here....please help...(thus both being smokers for well over 30 years; and my husband having to quit due to health related issues, we really, really enjoy this new world of "vaping") ....thank you.....

Hi and welcome ststyle. :)

If two are working with the spacer then I'd say they are okay. Not sure why they work with it but maybe without them, the carto/atty/tank is not making a connection.
Hopefully someone with a better answer comes along.

As for the third, I'd contact the vendor because if it isn't holding a charge then it's probably a dud.

Welcome ststyle, I am from NJ also.

I am not sure what you mean by "spacers", could you clarify that?

Also the batteries, are they eGo style? or true Joyetech batteries? Are they voltage adjustable? Do you charge them from the top via an adapter, or do you charge them from a USB connection on the bottom?

Also you stated that you have 3 batteries (most kits come with 2), you said that 2 will work, and one will not take a charge. Then you inferred that all three might be defective. So I am a little confused, if you could clarify the situation I would be glad to assist.

...well, geez, I hope I can explain this, the spacer is the adapter for the charger, my sister bought us everything ala, carte...I don't know what you mean by eGo vs. Joyetech batteries.....we are using a 10 port universal charger, and I think it is called an eGo-Q, does that sound correct?? ...no paper work came with the materials and I have attempted to contact Joyetech and I am waiting for their response.....we just received "all" on 12/31/12....we have a total of four 1100mAH battery's.....only one is working now....I really don't know what to do or whom to call......???? ....any assistance or insight you may be able to offer would be greatly apreciated.....

I assume this is what you have: eGo-Q Embossed Design Battery - 1100mAh

Before we attempt to debug anything further, I apologize for this, but did you turn it on? Click the button 5 times really fast?

I do not know what you mean by a ten port charger, could you describe this? and where did it come from?

You should be using the ego usb charger, should look something like this: eGo-T USB and Wall Battery Charger | myVapefix.com

...ok, bear with me....yes, you are absolutely correct in the link you sent with the type of battery's that we have....the charger is from Joyetech which houses 10 ports for charging, we don't have the usb charger that you indicated in the link you sent... ...yes, we are aware of the 5x clicking option....yesterday they worked with the spacer's now today they wont charge, although the light does blink when the button is pressed.....I am even looking for a "manual" online for this specific brand to try and troubleshoot the problem....my husband is ready to throw everything in the garbage.....

As far as I am reading, the 10 port charger does not work with the ego style batteries.
Now I don't actually have one of these, but it does not list them as compatible.

It DOES list the standard and mega 510 batteries, and in my experience if it lists those it will not work with the ego batteries.

Caveat: I did find two sites that DO say it will work, but only if it is the ONLY thing plugged into it. ie. only 1 ego battery and NOTHING else can be plugged into it.

My suggestion would be to get an ego charger.
