Hi, I tried e-cigs several years ago. Tried the blucig and joye. But just wasn't enough. I am having a lot more luck now. Truly, thanks to this forum and all the great advise I am learning from the members. You guys are really awesome. As a result of lurkng for a bit, I finally decided on a provari and vaping 4 Life volt. Love them both. They have been incredibly helpful and I have reduced my use of analogs to 5-6 a day. That is a big improvement over the pad habit of the past. However, I just can't seem to get down under that amount. When I read thru so many of the posts, it sounds like it was so much easier for so many others. Am I doing something wrong? I have read up about WTAs and the info seems to indicate that some people might have more success if they use the WTA on those occassions when only an analog would seem to work. I am thinking I might be one of those "lucky" people.
I guess my questions are:

Has anyone else had as much difficulty?
If so, how long did it take the urge to go away?
What are your opinions about WTA? Should I use these or not?

I so appreciate whatever advise you can give me. I really want to give up these dang analogs. I am afraid that if I keep smoking the 5-6 a day, that I will just keep increasing that amount and vaping, too.

Thanks so much!

Corruption42, I am using cartomizers. I use prefilled 24mgs from V4L on the volt. Actually love their tobacco and coffee flavored carts. For the provari, I fill my own cartomizers and have tried a variety of e-juices from a number of different companies. My favorite company so far is Mt. Baker Vapor andI prefer the tobacco flavored juices. They are in 24 or 30 mgs. I have larger cartomizers. However, haven't used them since they take so much juice and I haven't picked my all day vape yet.
Brhollifield, thank you for the encouragement. I am happy for your success and really hope your wife is successful, too.
Thanks to both for your responses. Again, truly appreciated.

Hmm... Thats some hefty nic content. The WTA juices may be worth a try for you.

Also, give a Cisco-spec atomizer a try on your Provari -- I adore the HH.357's, but wouldn't recommend trying one as your first dripping atomizer. You can hold 8-15 or so drops in an atomizer at once without a problem, and get a much cleaner taste with better vapor production and a harder punch, might be just the boost you're looking for. Definitely not as convenient as a cartomizer or tank, but 8-15 drops isn't an insignificant number of draws between dripping. Good luck! :)

Edit: Just so you don't have to go hunting -- Cisco-spec dripping atomizers are available exclusively through avidvaper.com -- they sell several different variations. I personally use 3.0 ohm HH.357's on my Provari's, but its really just a matter of tweaking voltage to find a sweet spot. :)

Thank you corruption42 and laddu ga. I will look into avidvaper.com. I never knew you could put that many drops in an atomizer. Whenever I tried in the past I just put 2 or 3 in at a time. Not a very pleasant experience. I will give it a go. Laddu ga, how long have you been vaping? Wonder if there is an expected time for the urge to go away. From so many posts it seems that people try vaping once and then it all just turns around for them. Good luck to you, too.

inquiring mind: grab a drip shield from stormys vapor cellar or gotvapes (avid has some, but their selection is slim and they're more expensive), and a sealed 510-510 adapter as well.. it makes a huge difference, to me anyway. No mess from overdripping, and it SORTA works like a makeshift tank. I can put 20 drops in an atty without having problems -- though I wouldn't recommend doing it often, it does make for reduced vapor production for the first few draws due to the oversaturation of the ceramic cup and wick.

Tiggerrts makes a good point -- don't punish yourself because you're in the transition phase. Think of it less like you're quitting smoking, and instead you're trading your vice for a new vice with less negatives. If you keep that mindset, and don't think twice if you decide to toss in an analog or 2 now and then, then you will very likely be successful. That desire will fade, it just takes time.

Different strokes for different folks. I had a couple smokes left in a pack when I woke up the morning I was expecting my first ego starter kit. Had to go to the store for a few things, but decided to wait for the mail to see if my package arrived. Well it did, and so I decided to not buy a pack of smoke's when I went to the store, just started vaping, and haven't looked back... Not one single analog since, but others I know had to keep smoking for a while until they were completely off the cigs. Long story short, every one is different, and you'll get there soon enough as long as you stick with it... it's worth it. ;)

Keep trying new juices until you find your all day vape. I was smoking 5 or 6 cigs a day until i found a good flavor that i could enjoy all day without getting sick of. Then i was smoking one or two a day. Now I'm down to 1 or 2 a week. Some quite immediately, and some take longer to quit completely. And some never completely quit.

Honestly, if i could stick to 1 or 2 a week, I'd be perfectly satisfied. I plan to do it until i don't feel like it anymore.
