I bought a great X6 eCab v2 kit which came without the charger. Where I bought it, they are adding a 5 pin extension on one for me as the chargers for the evod and c twist do not fit as the connection on the X6 is deeper inside the battery. Is this when I would use a 510 to 510 adapter ??? Would that make the connection closer to the top of the battery so I can use my other chargers ?? Thanks for any help

Do you have any links to show what/where you bought what?

ecab sounds like a joyetech something.

x6 sounds like a knockoff something.

the 510 interface is a sensitive interface: one tenth of a millimeter off and you're dead in the water; the adapters are usefull because sometimes just putting the adapter makes it work - tada!

ok, I did a search of x6 on fasttech and found something resembling that too.
The fastech x6 is just an eGo type battery basically.

Okay: so first thing: Don't use wrong charger.

So what's the problem? It's not working?
When you press the button, if you hold it up to your ear, do you hear it working?

That sounds like 510 center pin contact problem

It will not charge as I cannot get the connector on the charger to go deep enough

I do not understand what the question is.

I think you bought a .... something x6 ? ecab?

But what goes on top of it?

That looks like a glass tank on top.

Does it sizzle snap/crackle/pop when you press the button?

Sometime things don't work and you put the 510 to 510 adapter in the middle and it works 'by accident'

Battery is dead now No it does not crackle, it is variable voltage, blue light for fully charged, red for low battery. It is red so I tried to charge it with the chargers that came with my evod and ego ctwist.Since the connection is so deep, the other chargers will not screw on enough to get a good connection to charge it.

I've seen those x6 before; they don't have replaceable batteries.
I use a vamo and a zmax with replaceable 18650 batteries.

"connection is so deep" is a common problem with the 510 thread connector; the pin in the middle gets pressed down when you screw in the tank on top.

You want a ego to 510 connector I think. I had the X6 also but gave it to my brother in law with a normal ego charger and he had the same issue. The charger that comes with it had about a 1mm longer connection.

You need a charger that is specifally for an X6. I got mine from myfreedomsmokes.com. The charger will work on other ego type batteries as well.
