Im about to make my first purchase and Im crunching numbers and looking at recipes. Im going to use 36 mg nic. I vape .6 nic. My question is do I put the decimal point in the target nic strength? (.6) or just (6) ? Thanks in advance
Easy way to figure it out, divide your full nic mg/ml by your goal mg/ml nic. That = total units, so lets say 36mg nic/6 (desired mg per ml)=6 so 6 units. 1 unit will always be nic, the rest is VG (or both VG and PG whatever your ratio is). For you the ratio would be 6 units, minus 1 = 5 parts VG to 1 part nic at 36mg. If you want a 30 ml bottle then divide 30 by 6 =5. Therefore you would have 5 ml (36mg) nic and 25ml of VG. Hope that makes sense.
If you mean .6 PERCENT nic then you need to convert your percentage to a number representing milligrams per milliliter, rather than as a percentage of the juice.
Well, perhaps not an easy equation? The 6 was total ratio units. Nic is mg/ml and ranges from 0-100 so 36 mg base nic is 3.6% you are correct. Thinking in % is not right. Thanks, I edited first post.
Something to keep in mind when using prediluted nic is you're adding more pg or vg that is not flavored. Recipes call for certain amounts of flavor but most don't post the nic level, if the nic was prediluted, or the ratio of nic as mostly this is individual preference. This is mainly why some recipes work for some and not others. Try to think of recipes as the basics to get the flavor you want. Adjustments will need to be made most of the time.
