I think the question you need to answer for yourself, is, what do you want out of a juice? How do you want it to taste, what flavors in food or tobacco, or OTHER, tip your fancy?

A lot of the more layered and complex vapes may miss hitting with you at first; don't throw out the ones you've invested in. Put em aside as your taste buds have a chance to wake back up without smoke hitting them all the time, then try them again later.

When I started vaping, the flavors that worked for me were strong, bold, powerful enough to break through the numbed tongue of having been a smoker. Fortunately for me, my early investments in some pretty pricey stuff panned out because they needed steeping as much as my body needed to get past the cigarette trauma and let me taste things clearly again.

I'd be happy to recommend stuff, but without an idea of what you are interested in vaping, it's tough to offer advice. Fill us in!

503, Vermillion River, and Baker white are amazing! They are made up here in Minnesota. 503 has 6 years juice making experience. Baker White and Vermillion River have 4. All are premium quality juices. Rehab, Classified, Alpha, and Ben Johnson's are awesome as well.

503 has a good list of simple and complex flavors.
Vermillion River is on point with their Kentucky line if you like tobacco flavors and are even better with their drink flavors.
Baker white has some very good fruit flavors.
I have yet to find something from Ben Johnson's, Classified, Rehab, and Alpha that I have not loved!

I am in love wit Classified's Indulge!

Everyone has a different taste for juices. I have tried and like the ruthless. My go to for the past few weeks have been by CRFT, their Gravel Pit and Strawberry Blonde have been keeping me happy! :2cool: Cant go wrong with Cosmic Fog or Space Jam juice either. Also, I think the nic level does a lot to flavors. I like to use 3mg nic level. I have noticed the higher the nic level is the juices taste a bit harsh, for me at least. just my $0.02

Steeping has a lot to do with letting the flavors mix together completely and react with each other.

This can be accomplished with shaking, leaving the cap off when you get it overnight, burping (with plastic bottles) to change the air and accelerate the oxygen reactions in the bottle, putting the bottle in a hot water bath (tap water, not out of the kettle hot!) til it cools, sticking it in a sonic cleaner for vibrational combining, or just plain old letting it sit and giving it a shake now and then, until the flavors have a chance to combine.

Different pg/vg ratios will probably steep differently; I have enough of a stash of things I know I like already to let the new stuff sit and do it's thing all on it's own. While steeping may not "fix" a liquid that you don't care for out of the mailbox or upon getting it mixed at a b&m, it *can* help open up how the flavors taste when they have a chance to mature, like a fine bottle of wine, into something special.

I can recommend Viasi (for non tobacco flavors, although you might be surprised at how tasty their tobacco/fruits like Merlin and 3 Wishes are), Ahlusion (long steep time always seems to make anything they ship me delicious), Nicoticket (I'll vape anything they make happily and reorder frequently), Madtownvapes (affordable, delicious, loved everything I've gotten from them, tobacco or not).

A note in passing about tobacco vapes; we're not talking stinky cig stale ashtray stale smoke on your clothes and in your home following you around like a funeral shroud tobacco, when we recommend a tobacco vape. There is nothing nasty about Grumpy's Hooch, ANY of the Nicoticket tobaccos, or my beloved Madtown Vapes' Honey Badger. I set aside special time to enjoy Countryside from Bionic (ostensibly a cigar vape, but it's like inhaling unlit cigars in a walk in humidor, not lighting up a cigar and choking on it). You may not be ready for anything tobacco now, but don't discount it in the future if you become curious. Those of us who love our tobacco vapes aren't replicating a "cigarette experience", we are going for what we always wanted to have in a smoke, and getting it.

If you don't have a local b&m to taste test at (I don't), then online is your fate. Remember; your taste buds are your own, so your mileage may vary no matter what we offer as hope for a satisfying vape. Read the reviews on online sites, google up reviews on stuff you find interesting before you buy, and above all, enjoy what you like and keep that in mind when you find it; we want to hear about what worked for you too!

Summertime is a fruity proposition, so keep your eyes open; if you like something from one maker, keep tabs on them and they may just have summer special flavors that appeal to you.

Good luck with the juice hunt! I had some of the same issues with finding out what I liked and how to determine if I was going to get it from the places I ordered. It can be frustrating and feel very expensive, but just remember; each vape you take, even the ones you don't care much for, is a puff on a cig that you didn't take. And that right there, is gold!

A good juice will be hard to find. Taste is subjective a best, and will taste different depending on the equipment you are using as well as the nic level you are vaping. A low nic level used in a dripper with low ohms will taste much better than a high nic level in a high resistance (2.1, 2.2) tank delivery system.

I mention that because if you try a juice in a shop, be aware of the nic level the testers are, juice at a higher lever will not taste the same.
Some of my juices to me taste better during the day than at night, I like a coffee flavored juice at night.

As far as who has the best, is going to be what you think is the best. Find a few you can deal with until you find the one you’re looking for.
Everyone raves over Suicide Bunny brand Mother’s Milk, I bought a bottle, it’s okay to me not great and in my humble opinion not worth the 22 bucks, but you may love it.

My personal favorites have been Grandmaster from Five Pawns -- by itself or mixing it with Port LB (cranberry) from the Long Beach Line (like a pb & j). I'm also a sucker for cream based oils. Grandma's Cake batter from Drip line is pretty nice. I also recommend Alpha and Omega... check out bombies too!

So how does one know if it "needs steeping"? How does one steep it? I recently got into the mech side and since have dropped to 0% all i want is a juice to taste like what is says.. If it says key lime pie taste like key lime pie.. Not cinnamon pine sol..
If you make your own juice or order it from a supplier that only makes made per order liquids hen most likely you will need to Steep. Steeping is more than what most think. It's a chemical reaction when you steep right and let oxygen cycle through your juice. It really brings out the flavor. Also you have to find the right vendor. I use mount baker vapor. There flavors are spot on for me. I use a box mod with RDA's and vape at 50/50 with 6mg nicotine and I couldn't ask for a better vape. Check out my steeping guide if you need help
