So, I think im going to move on from smoking and get an APV. I like the eVic very much, mainly because it tracks your usage history. I would not consider some kind of vaping device that would not allow me to gauge how much I'm using it. I don't want my addiction to get any worse, in fact I plan to ween myself off of nicotine.

From what I've read so far, I want to buy an eVic, with 12mg nic juice, and a clearomizer or two. It seems that smokers who smoke about half a pack a day were satisfied with 12mg. If anyone has any input on nicotine intake I would be interested to hear that as well.

I was a little concerned when I noticed that you can control the wattage of the eVic, because that would change the nicotine delivery, has anyone thought about this?

I was also confused about the Ohm ratings on the coils, I know that Ohm refers to electrical resistance, but practically how does that affect your vaping experience?

Please help me select compatible components, and give me any advice on how these things work, i've seen reviews and understand how the device works. But when it comes to picking the delivery devices I am pretty lost. I want to be able to sample a few different flavors, so if that means I should buy more than 1 clearomizer please let me know.

I also would appreciate a vendor suggestion, and if you know of any other products that would be better than the eVic but still neatly collect data on my usage then I would be all ears!

TL;DR - I think I want an eVic, but I don't know how to get a liquid thingy that'll fit onto it, and don't know what website to use!

Thanks for your help! Can't wait to try this thing out.

Hi Taylor!
I have an eVic and love it! Don't worry about the volts verses ohms, when you get your eVic connect it to your pc and upgrade it to 1.3 and when you attach your atty, it automatically read your ohms and suggest the best setting. Ofc you can set it higher or lower, and you will know what you like if you just try it out. for example my eVic recommended 3.2v for an 2.4ohm atty, but I like it a bit higher voltage and usually vape at 3.8v-4.6v depending on my flavor. The nice thing about the eVic is it wont let you vape at an "unsafe" voltage level. Like on a 2.4ohm atty it wont let me go past 5volts. Which gives me piece of mind so I dont blow myself up. Some people dont like that feature as it limits what you can do. There are some good reviews on youtube about eVics, you should check em' out! :D

Thanks Perrrrito, I just don't know where to buy one, and what accessories to get with it to actually is it. Glad to be here!

Joytech has a starter kit... Joyetech Joye eVic starter Kits that's what you're looking for right? i don't know how their price compares to other sites out there. I know fast tech gets a lot of good reviews here for their good prices whether it be real or clone.

All the starter kits I see including the one Perrrrito linked don't seem to have any clearomizers or liquids with them, but I think I found a good site and I've picked out my parts! The clearomizer was found in the 510 thread section, I believe that's what the eVic uses.

Am I doing this right? lol

Joyetech eVic Starter Kit [eVic-Kit] - $74.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

Vision Stardust 2.0 Rebuildable eGo Clearomizers [Vision-Clearo-2.0] - $4.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

FZBJ e-Liquid Kryptonite Flavor (MED 12mg) [FZBJ-Kryptonite-12] - $6.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

Is this everything I need to start vaping?

Thanks!

I have an eVic also. And I too love mine. It has some nifty features for tech junkies, and offers alot of potential with the software updates. I recently discovered carto tanks and love them! I get much better flavor and vapor production from them, than from clearomizers. But that is me. Experimenting with the different types of tanks and stuff is all part of the fun for me though.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have no idea what the difference is, but I'll learn once it arrives, I'll replace one of those clearomizers with this,

Boge Dual Coil Tank (DCT) with Aluminum Caps [Boge-DCT] - $6.64 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid
