Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say hi and that I am really glad that I found this forum, I was so excited to see this here when I was doing my research on which product to buy, there is an amazing amount of information here that has made this a lot easier on me I thank you to everyone!!

I haven't received my first E-Cig yet, I am hoping it will be here today so I can finally get on the road and get away from the nasty analogs!! What did I decide on, well don't bash me please lol! I got the blu because I think that it will be the right product for me, I am a light smoker, very light, I could make a pack of analogs last a good week but still I couldn't get away from doing that and I am tired of the stink, I decided also because of this forum to fill my own once I have gone through the starter carts, I am still in the middle of reading about suppliers and best tasting juice etc, but have done a lot of watching and reading on refilling so I haven't decided exactly yet who I am going to use for suppliers as far as that is concerned, but I do know who I am not using.. Anyway, since I am new to this, is there anything anyone can think may not be discussed somewhere else as a newbie first time don't do? Please let me know and I really looking forward to chatting with all of you!!

Congrats on the decision to Vape instead of Smoke. Definately a Live Changer/Saver

Don'ts :
1. Don't let the BluBashers bother you (they will come, it is inevitable)
All the complaints about Blu can be contributed to it's size. It's so small, of coarse the batteries don't last long, of coarse the carts don't hold much juice, therefor don't last long. Other than that, the Blu works just fine.

2. DON'T Overfill your carts. They will leak and you'll get blasted with juice directly in your mouth. Blah!!!
When you get it filled to the point you think is just right, you've overfilled. Dab it off with a paper towel.

3. Don't underestimate how much you are going to like vaping.
You will easily find yourself vaping WAY more than you smoked. So once you decide on some juice, get double the amount you think will last you xx number of days. Nothing worse than running out of juice before your next order comes in.

4. Don't feel bad if you still smoke an analog once in a while. Don't focus on not being able to quit analogs entirely, instead focus on how many analogs you avoided smoking.

Again, welcome aboard the SS Vaper.

I used the blu first, and totally quit analogs. But I liked vaping so much I HAD to have a bigger battery, I vape 0-nic most of the day now. The battery life was the only down side of the blu for me, otherwise it did its' job fine.
The fun is just beginning. trying all of the wonderful juices is soooo much fun!
Good luck.

OK..

DON'T forget to blow the primer off your atomizer before you start vaping! You have to put your mouth around the wide end, (where the cartridge goes in), and blow like hell into a paper towel until NOTHING else comes out. Then, drip a few drops of liquid on the coil, (the silver thread looking thing in there), and take a few hits of it, without inhaling. Do this until it DOES taste right.

DON'T forget to get some liquid.

DON'T forget to get a few spare atomizers

DO go with a manual kit

DO remember there's a learning curve

DO feel good about yourself and finally,

DO have fun!!

AND..DON'T hit it like a regular cigarette..you have to take long SLOW drags, at LEAST 5 seconds in length.

Good luck and welcome to ECF!!!!

It did come today! I haven't used it yet I decided that I would let it all charge up before I jumped in, that way my battery won't die if I like it to much, while I am waiting off to look at juices again so I can get some ordered.. I really hope that these don't get banned, I have been waiting so long for this!! I will take a look at Tasty Vapor and Mrs. T's thanks for the info!

Good job, definately let your batteries charge first.
You've smoked how many years? A couple more hours won't be the difference..

Now a couple DO's, specifically for the Blu

1. Check out Volcanoecigs.com
The Volcano and Blu are exactly the same thing, just different branding.
The Volcano Atomizers work much better, they are taller and make better contact with the liquid in the cart.

2. Take a look at the PTB mod, I've been using this for over 3 weeks now and it works great.

Also, try to think of it like this

"I'm not quitting, I don't want to quit. I'm just switching brands. And my new brand doesn't cause cancer"

That chain of thought worked wonders for me. Not a single analog since my first puff on the Blu.

Good luck.

Thanks Jonmo, the PTB mod is exactly the one that I was going to use, to me it seemed like the right choice for my blu, I did have a question about that one though, are you shredding or are you folding like the vid I have watched here? I have read that you can do it both ways, but advice on which way you like better would be great, I know it's going to be a lot of trial and error for me, but definitely have the same attitude about it as yours, I was trying to explain this to the neighbor (she is a two pack a day analog smoker) saying you are only quitting cancer if you switch, at least I have her thinking about it! I hope that I do as well as you did! Thanks so much for the advice!
