Hi everyone. I have been using the 501 for a bit. I liked that vaping was cutting down on my regular smoking greatly and was on my way to quitting but had a few snags. First of all, I did not like that the 501 ran out of battery EXTREMELY quickly. They also clogged very easily and after about 10 minutes of vaping, I would get so frustrated with not being able to get a decent drag. Then one of them stopped working altogether, would not charge at all!! Then the following day, the one that was still working (although the end tip had fallen off and it leaked all the time) quit in me as well. So I am back to smoking a pack a day and I just can NOT afford it!! Luckily, I have a family member who wants me so desperately to quit smoking and was very proud of how well I was doing until this happened (which also happened to be the most stressful and saddest day of my life) and is willing to buy me a new e-cig. But I have NO CLUE as to what to buy. My needs are as follows:

Need one I can refill with juice, not one of these ones that come with the prefilled cartridges - WAY too expensive to keep refilling!!

Need a duo so that one can charge while I use the other.

Need one that holds a charge for a decent time

Need one that does not clog constantly

And although not completely necessary, it would be nice to get a starter pack that has either a car charger with it, or one of the packs that looks kind of like a cigarette pack that you precharge and take with you to charge on the go.

I am needing to order this ASAP, so quick responses would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Hi and welcome...

This is the kit I started with and it was perfect for me, still use this basic set-up for work and goin' out, reliable and easy to maintain, couldn't go wrong with it, IMO. Plus Eric at DiscountVapers is awesome :)

1. (2) eGo 650mah battery
2. (2) CE4+ Clearomizers with Long Wicks
3. (1) eGo Case
4. (1) Wall Charger
5. (1) USB 420mah Charging cable
6. (1) 10 ml empty ELiquid Bottle

eCig Starter Kit - 650mah

The Joyetech eCab and eRoll are smaller, closer to cig size types, but I have not used them

Good luck...

Sounds like one of your complaints is the battery voltage dropping rapidly. This can be remedied with regulated voltage.

I'd look at the Volt X2 or an Ego Twist, both of which will give you a much more consistent vaping experience.

The plus with the twist is that you can "twist" the dial at the bottom of the battery to change the voltage to get more vapor and taste from your juice.

The Volt with keep it a constant voltage.

I would also recommend the eGo kit to start off with. You can find them at alot of different vendors for a pretty reasonable price. If you want something that is easy to refill with e-liquid I would either get like a Vivi Nova tank, carto-tank or CE-4 style to go with it. All easy to refill or just get you some empty carto's to put flavors in, also easy to refill. If you want longer battery life get a bigger mah battery say 1000 or so that way it will last pretty much all day or more before needing to recharge. Ensure you get two batts so you can charge one and use the other. Good luck!!

I see you're in Virginia. If you are anywhere near Chester VA, there is a Vapemeet out there today, Jan. 26, 2013 mentioned breifly here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...67848-virginia-vapemeet-sat-january-26-a.html

or if you're into Facebook:

You could talk to some real people, get some advice, maybe even get to try some things if you ask nice ( bring some drip tips if you have some); they may even have door prizes. I really don't know if they'll have anything for sale there but nothing beats actually seeing some new devices and talking to people about what they do and don't like about them.
