hi I'm Thestoppableforce,
don't ask me if I would rather be unstoppable :p so I'm brand new to ecigs, I don't even have my starter kit yet, or a working 1. I first bought a 20$ 7-11 ecig kit and before I finished the 5 carts it came with the atty died. I would get 1 OK hit and then have to wait 10-15 min for it to wick into the atty before I could get another good hit. So I went back to analogues while I started doing research on which brand, blu, greensmoke, etc, and I kept coming back to the same thing, I was worried about investing money and getting another bad kit. Anyways the more I read the more I saw people suggesting a 510 kit, once I understood what it was and decided I wanted to start on cartomizers due to lack of faith in attomizers I started doing research on where I wanted to buy my kit. I eventually settled on Altsmoke, there are literally hundreds of positive reviews and maybe 10 bad ones here on ECF. I placed my order on Friday at 3:30pm EST, and am still waiting for them to ship my package.(it's Monday night 8:30pm EST) Is this normal for altsmoke? Many people rant and rave about there impressive shipping times and customer service.

Welcome to the forum! I've never ordered from Altsmoke but I hear positive things about them. It seems like when I order on a Friday things seem to take a long time. Maybe they aren't there on the weekends and process the orders on Monday?

Did you order any juice? Let us know when you get your kit! Best of luck with it.

Altsmoke is a good company and they're an ECF approved supplier. I live about an hour north of their store and have gone down there a couple of times to buy stuff. Don't be turned off to atty's because of one bad experience. Mine average around 2 months of use each so I'm getting my money's worth out of them. In my experience they give much better flavor than carto's and hit harder too. I'll use carto's if I'm where I want the convenience, but I sure am glad to get back to dripping on my atty.

cool thanks for the advice and welcome, cskent your probably right about the atomizers, the 510 atty's are probably worlds beyond the one i had die(in less than 2 days) it was a really cheap option just so i could see what i thought about e-cigs and at the very least it got me on board. i don't like the idea of dripping but that's before i have everything. yes swedishfish i ordered 2 15 mil bottles of juice and a 5 mil sample of some fruity flavor, and 10 filled carto's, and your probably right about altsmoke having a slower time with orders placed on Fridays, the only thing that gets me is rob told me on 2 separate occasions my order would be shipped at a certain time and it wasn't. i talked to him on the phone when i placed my order he said it would be shipped sat morning, when it wasn't i made a ticket and was kinda given the run around, it said that i placed my order after Saturday shipments go out(he said they go out Saturday mornings at 11:30, i placed order Friday but w/e no biggy) and that it would Defiantly go out Monday. it still hasn't been shipped and my last ticket unanswered.(it's Tuesday around noon EST) I'm sure it will get resolved but for someone waiting to get off analogues this can be frustrating.

i called altsmoke, my order didn't get shipped because they didn't have the PCC i ordered in stock, this kinda bugs me they didn't say sold out on the site (it was open when i placed the order) and on the phone when i read off my list and came to the PCC he said "i don't know if we have one let me check" when he came back he said he did have one left a silver one.

so i had them send everything but the PCC (they offered me a used display model, i almost said yes but would prefer a new 1 and am willing to wait for it) and they will send a PCC when they get some in.

so i got my yeti-c 510 cartomizer kit from altsmoke maybe 30 min ago and i think i can say i am a smoker no more. like i said i had an xhale 02 kit from 7-11 and it was a joke at best. maybe mine was bad but it seemed like the way the atty is sposed to poke through a layer of foil to get to the very small cup of juice and filler damages the mesh that wicks the fluid to the coil. but my 510 is great, first drag totally surprised me, tasted pretty ok i could easily get used to it but the th was nearly perfect was almost identical to what im am used to maybe a few % lower. all and all im really happy :) im already considering a mod of some kind maybe a big kazoo cuz im broke as a joke if anyone has some cheap mod ideas im a pretty interested. oh and let me say that the folks at altsmoke lived up to their reputation for the most part, yes i had a problem but if i could have got the net ordering system to work the first time (was my fault it didn't i know what i did now) everything would have been fine. i think (but don't know) that there was some confusion with the PCC being in stock but i think i caused that confusion and was just unlucky that they didnt have several in stock.

Welcome to your new hobby and congrats! I love the Yeti cartomizers. I use them with all my 510 PVs. Sorry your shipping was messed up, but Rob is a good guy and he'll make things right for you if you ever have a problem.

Looking into mods already, you're way ahead of me. Here's a inexpensive box mod you might be interested in: Link

I've read good things, but have no experience with it.

ya i really like my 510 but like i was warned the battery life is a joke and until i get my PCC it's gonna be fun keeping them charged, oh and you guys might think this is cool i found some super simple plans for making a 5v usb passthrough and since i have that broken xhale02 (it uses 510 threads but is reversed so atty is female and the battery is male) i was able to take the female end out or the usb charger it came with and cannibalized a switch out of an old busted rc helicopter.. a little duct tape later i have a 5v usb passthrough. not pretty but saves me a lot of battery charging. and thank you for the links that seems like a really good deal and sounds like it is right up my ally. i wanted to thank everyone for all the great information on the forum im really pleased with my new setup and probably wouldn't have it if it weren't for the forum. who knows i'de probably still be smoking and that reminds me 8 hours 21 mins since my last smoke and im going strong one sitting in front of me and i don't want it at all.

I got my first kit from FreedomSmokeUSA.com because they have a guarantee and very good return policy. I don't work for them and in fact, I am still waiting on the arrival of my first order from them (hopefully tomorrow). But I did google and research a lot of suppliers and found that I liked their return policy best. My brother had a 510 battery he had purchased from them that was defective and they had no problem sending him a replacement; didn't even have to pay shipping for it. Just thought I'd give you one more to think about :)

thestoppable...did you get juice? Please say yes.

Also, if you try atty's again, blow and rinse them out BEFORE you use them. If not, you will get a mouth full of primer vape and it's really nasty. Let the atty's dry overnight upside down (battery end up) before using. Give a quick dry burn or 2, drip a few drops of liquid straight onto the bridge in it to prime it. Get a drip tip also...makes a world of difference versus using cartridges. With dripping, add a few drops as the vapor and flavor deminish. There are tons of threads on here explaining dripping.

My favorite are Boge cartomizers. I also fell in love with Ikenvape.com's cartomizers. A little higher price but they are workhorses. Just don't buy low resistance for your batteries unless you upgrade to a bigger battery mod. LR's will kill your batteries quickly...and I don't mean the charge...I mean dead as in don't work ever again.

thanks for the info everyone, yes i bought juice some 35 mils (3 bottles), replacement cartos, (i know not to get lr catros with my batteries, but thank you i would hate for mine to die like that) on top of the 5 the kit came with, the kit, and a pcc. im probably going to buy at least 1 510 atty so i can drip and test new flavors without cleaning a carto
