OK, so as my coil gets dirty, I just need to replace it with another nickel coil, right? Will my device start to display a higher ohm value when this happens, or is there some indication I would get from the quality of the vapor?
Basically, the vape will suck. Bad taste, low vapor production, or it'll just stop working if the wire breaks. Keep your gear clean, and replace your coil when it gets gunky. You'll figure it out, and you'll do fine.

They should work fine together. The connection between the tank and eleaf is called a '510 thead',so anything that is '510 threaded' will fit perfect.

It also comes with an ego adapter so you can fit any tank on there.
BTW I don't think you will need to buy a new mod any time soon with that 40w tc.

I'm learning a whole lot from this thread. Is there any way to maintain the mod/tank connection(like cleaning it) to delay this from happening? When it does happen, do I just buy a new mod?
Yes, clean the 510 threads, using a q-tip and alcohol. Your mod will probably last until the battery goes bad.

One more thing I would suggest is maybe a spare tank so if anything goes wrong you can switch tanks over and still vape whilst you sort the other tank out. Plus you can vape two different flavours in different tanks :D
Sound plan, that. You won't need it immediately, perhaps, but you really ought to get one as soon as you try the first to see if you want to duplicate it or try something else.
