Hey everyone,

I'm relatively new to vaping. I had a question about my lemo drop and wicking the cotton. I am still using the stock coil, as I have never build one yet.

I have had a few dry hits using this lemo drop on my istick 50 w. I tend to vape around 17-25 watts.

My one side juice vent does not seem to have any air bubbles coming out of it. I have tilted it and tried to pull some air or suck in the juice but nothing happens. It works fine on the other side. I've tried various methods of using this japanese cotton to cut so it barely touches, but lately What I have been doing is what I saw on a video on youtube where he cuts the cotton and pulls it up, then puts the chimney on and makes sure you have light. I am almost scared each time to vape it cause of those dry hits. I have done half a tank with the one side air bubbles only and its working fine. Is one juice vent enough, or should I take it apart and use a tool to try to make sure light can be seen. I don't want to mess it up since its working well right now. I tend to do multiple vapes also. Any advice or how I should properly wick this is good. I am glad to join this community. Have a great day!

I don't own a Lemo Drop, so consider these suggestions to be only generalized trying to help.

What is the resistance (ohms) of your stock coil? Depending upon the resistance, 17 - 25 watts may be too high for the stock coil.

Is your Lemo authentic or a clone? Some clones have workmanship issues, hence the difference of one side versus the other having adequate juice flow.

Hopefully someone who owns a Lemo drop will come by and offer additional advice. Welcome to the forum. :)

Thanks for the reply. I bought it directly from their website so it should be fine. The resistance is 1.1 - 1.2 usually.

I own a Lemo drop and have it built to 1.2Ω and keep it at 18.5W. That seems like the perfect setting as anything above 20W is subject to dry hits. Bubbles don't have to be coming out of both sides, that doesn't mean that juice isn't getting in there. As for how I wick, I wick the way you said that guy in the video did. However, when I push the wick down, I use a really skinny 'precision' screwdriver to push the wick out of the way of the juice channel. You don't want you wick blocking your juice channels. Basically, when you look down at my build deck with the lower piece of the chimney on, it looks like the juice channels continue through the wick.

I saw this one dude who was somehow firing his Lemo Drop at 42W... I have no idea how he wasn't dying from dry hits.

I've got both the Lemo and Lemo drop. They will only bubble out of one side no matter what you do. I have been told this is normal and I've never seen any evidence that one side is wetter or dryer than the other. I build my coils to mostly resemble the coil that came with the unit. I set it at about 20 watts on my Isticks. Comes close to 4.6 - 4.8 volts depending on my exact build. (sometimes I get a 1.2 ohm build sometimes it's a 1.4 ohm build) I only use KGD cotton, but did use the supplied cotton it came with a few times and it was pretty good. Use just enough cotton so that you get some resistance when pulling it through the coil. Now screw on the lower chimney while pulling all the excess cotton toward the top so it looks like bunny ears sticking up. Now trim the cotton about an 1/8th inch above the top of the lower chimney. I use a toothpick to then gently push the cotton down so that it touches the deck and then make sure the cotton has not gotten down into the juice canals. I then prime the wick and coil well. Screw the top chimney into place and fill and enjoy.

Is there already a Lemo clone out there?

Thanks, I'll try this now!
