Greetings,

I am brand new at the whole e-cig thing and tried my first (disposable) blu the other night. I actually quite enjoyed it and rushed out to pick up the blu starter kit - seems to be a mistake, especially after lurking these forums and trying it. I don't seem to get consistent hits at all, the blue led will go out mid drag and I barely get anything, everyone once in awhile I get a decent hit though, but it's not consistent enough. Disposable Blu seemed MUCH better IMO.

I am eyeballing the eGo-C from Ovale, but had some questions. Will the eGo-C be compatible with cartomizers? I'm not necessarily opposed to using the atomizer, but have read mixed opinions on the both and was wondering if I chose to go the carto route, if this would be possible with the eGo-C.

My biggest goal is to just get completely away from analogs... thinking the eGo-C would be a much better help than this Blu, but if there are any other suggestions this newbie, I'm all ears! Thanks.

If you are buying the kit, You can use the batteries and connect to any cartomizer with a 510 thread. (These are widely sold in Single coils and Dual coils.) The Ego-c attomizers are a new and great system that you fill a small tank and plug it in to the attomizer and your ready to vape. It has no filler material in it like regular cartomizers, and some people like the cleaner system of the Ego-c. They don't burn like cartomizers, but carto's are good too if you keep them moist. What is different with the C's is you can buy a blister pack of atty's for a reasonable price and replace JUST the atty at a much lower cost that the old Ego-t systems. You can fill an extra Ego-c tank and put the bottom cap back on and if your juice runs low on the atty, just pull the tank and pop in the newly refilled one. I hope this info is helpful, if you have anymore questions just ask, their is lots of nice folks here on the forum that will help answer your questions.

Thanks for the replies so far, regarding the single/dual coil cartos, is one much better than the other? Or do they both have their pros and cons?

Also, when using tanks I understand you pierce the tank with the atty to get to the juice, about how often do you need to replace the tanks? I would imagine the hole would get too big at some point and cause it to leak.

Welcome to ECF fade2black. Haven't researched mch about the eGo-c yet, am totally happy with my eGo passthrough. Just wanted to let you know that after you get 5 posts, wait about an hour and you can post almost anywhere. Also here is a link to a thread you might want to check out.

Good luck and keep us posted on how you're doing :)

In my experiance the tanks last a long time before you need to replace one, and they are cheap to buy. Yes when you use a new tank you snap it in the atty and it pierces it with the spike on top of the atty the first time you plug in a new one, after that of coarse the hole is already there. As far as carto's go, normally you get more vapor from a Dual coil, but they use up the battery charge quicker that a normal Single coil does. The average DC has 1.5 Ohm's and SC has a range of 2 to 3.2 Ohm's, so your battery charge lasts longer.

as someone who was recently in a very similar position i can relate. I had a friend bring over his Blu starter and I thought it was ok. I tried the disposables and thought that was pretty good. so I bought one and the batteries just SUCKED! I ended up giving it to my girlfriend because half the time I could use up one battery before the next was done charging. my next step was a tornado pass through (the ego mega re branded for Totally Wicked) because I could still use my Blu carto's I had ordered and liked well enough. but that meant I could also use a lot of other stuff and that got me trying other stuff. now I use the tank setup for when Im out of the house and drip at home. Ive been very happy with the tanks so far and am looking to upgrade to an Ego C soon. I think your making a good move and once you start playing with all the great stuff that you can put on that standard 510 connection you'll be amazed. I was a pretty heavy smoker PAD of american spirits for 15 years, tried quitting with all the patches and gums etc. nothing worked and for the first time in all that Im almost completely analog free. I still light one up maybe a few times a week but it gets less and less by the day. I think youll find the ego a suitable companion while you figure out what you like.

Yeah, the blus definitely are not the way to go, luckily I got a full refund today which is good because I ordered the ego-c last night ;). Also for 70 bucks (same price as the blu kit) I felt I couldn't go wrong. I like variety, so like you said, I'm sure I will be very satisfied with all the options I will have. I have been doing good with analogs so far...usually can make it through quite a few days without, but I always end up giving in! hopefully this will change that! Plus my girlfriend absolutely hates me smoking, so less nagging from her will be awesome as well. Thanks!

check out this thread on ego-c:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/232530-new-ovale-ego-c-changeble-system.html

ego-c is supposed to be used instead of cartos, but the battery will accept 510 threaded cartos

Thanks for the link and info. I fully intend to use the tank mostly, just want to be able to throw on a carto if need be. Carto sounds like it would be a good backup In case I have bad luck with attys and have to wait a bit for an order. I like to get the most out of things, so I probably won't always have tons of backups, trying to keep cost down from analogs - they are killing me (in more than one way lol).

Hi fade and welcome! I've only been a member here a short time, but I've found the members here to be outstanding in their willingness to hold your hand and walk you through deciding what PV will be right for you.

Before I found this forum, I researched analog look alike PV's and we went with the relatively new Safe Cig Micro. Ordered them a week ago today. Found the forum on Friday and Saturday I purchased the eGo-C. Both PV's arrived yesterday. I had the Safe Cig Micro's delivered to my job, because there was another co-worker who wanted to get a starter kit with us (my DBF and I work for the same company). So my first vape was with the Safe Cig Micro - and thus far, we've been pretty happy with it.

Got home and checked the mail, because OvaleUSA showed they shipped from Gainesville, FL on Monday, and I knew that was just about a 2 day USPS delivery, and sure enough, the eGo was waiting for me. So, in 24 hours I've been able to compare the two. Bottom line - I like them both. I know that the eGo will be my primary PV for now, but I am enjoying the flavors I've tried with the Safe Cig.

I'm reaching for both, but the eGo, 2 x more frequently than the Safe Cig micro. I think that the benefit to the Safe Cig micro for me right now is that it's a little easier on me to learn the technique of vaping without choking myself to death! LOL

For someone new to vaping, the eGo - for ME, has been very intuitive and user friendly. What no one warned me, was how crazy I'd get ordering different juices to try! LOL

Right now I'm vaping cappucino flavor that I ordered with my eGo-C, and have tried the juice that came with the kit (I'm told it's DK RY4), but I haven't vaped it as much. I'll be stalking my mailman the next few days as I wait for the other juices to arrive - bless his heart!

I will say that I was a little worried about whether this system would have leaking problems that the T did, but in my short period of time using it, it hasn't been an issue. Of course, I haven't been around long enough to know how long it took for that problem to start with the T model.

I'm already checking out the T 1100 mah batteries though, because I'm a girlie girl, and I want to get a longer lasting "pretty" battery to use with it, but the black is pretty sleek, and smaller appearing than I had expected just from pictures (which is a positive for me).

I know 24 hours useage isn't truly long enough to give a real critical review, but as of the writing of this post, I have zero regret for my purchase!

I'm probably 40+ tanks into using my Ego-C now. Same Atty, no issues, no leaks, no burnt taste, no negatives.
Kent has been using his a few weeks longer, haven't heard any negatives yet from him either though.

I think one of the biggest positives of a tank system (That works), is very little Atty maintenance. (As I just flooded a 510 direct dripping, lol) The Ego-C system wicks really well, and the juice flow to the Atty appears to be consistent flow. None of the too much (flooding/leakage), or too little (hello burnt taste)...

Thanks for the feedback! It's great to hear the positives about the eGo-c, although it is going to make the wait for it a bit tougher! I haven't ordered any juices yet, leaning toward trying a sample pack from Johnson creek. I plan on mainly finding as many sample packs as I can from diff vendors. Juice is something I need to read up on a bit more. I am thinking that I would like the most I guess "organic" juices as I want to make sure there are no questionable ingredients. Any suggestions on this? This is really my only concern with getting into vaping.

One of the places I ordered juice from (is it sad I've forgotten if I've ordered from four or five places now? LOL) is Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes and theirs is all organic.

Omg, I had go check to see that I did't write this post!!! Your in the SAME exact place I am. Got a disposable Blu liked it and bought the kit 2 weeks ago. It's okay but now I'm totally hooked on vaping. I am also looking at the Ego-c as well. Sucks that we spent do much on the Blu if only we had known.

Hahaha yeah, I am lucky I was able to get a full refund on my blu kit, bought from a dept store. I plan on relying on the disposable blus just to keep me off analogs until my ego-c gets here, should ship tomorrow, can't wait!
