Hello Everyone :) I am so excited to have found this forum and have been lurking & learning
for the past week or so. I have been a smoker for about 12 years and have honestly never
attempted to quit :p This weekend the ban on analogs went into effect in my state and luckily
my first e-cig arrived in the mail just in time! Initially I thought I would just use my PV for going out, but now Im looking forward to ditching the analogs all together. I opted for the M702 w/PCC model because I wanted
something portable and something that closely resembled a cig (atleast for now while I make the
transition to vaping). I can already tell I am gonna need something a litle more "heave duty" and longer lasting
when it comes to battery life for home use, but this ecig will be perfect when I go out. Ive had my unit for a little
over 24hrs and only went for the analog twice (usually smoke 1 1/2 packs a day) so I am EXTREMEMLY EXCITED to say the least! :)

The only "complaint" I have if at all is the e-cig is a tad harder to draw on than I expected, maybe its just lack of experience
but I feel a significant amount of resistance compared to an analog. Is this normal?
To all the vaping Pro's out there: Have you found a particular model that is know for its "easy draw"?

Again glad to have found the forums and appreciate the huge amount of info I have learned from you all so far!

Hi! Welcome to the ECF, Shananigens. I totally agree, the draw on a PV is harder than with an analog.

I'm not familiar with yours, but I started with the 510 and immediately had to switch to the blue foam cart filler - that helped a bit.

The best draw I have found yet is with the 510 cartomizers that I just got. I think it's because there's a hole going all the way through it with a tube of filler around the hole. I'm loving it.

I'm glad you're liking vaping, I think it's a life saver! (no, really an actual life saver - not metaphorically):)

I had 4 E-cigs before I got my Joye 510, and WOW am I happy with it!
I would suggest a 510, BUT, seeing as you were a 1 1/2 pack smoker a day the batteries might not last as long as you need them to last. But for overall dependability I would suggest a 510.

Now, a screwdriver model really chucks out vapor like there's no tomorrow, and the battery life is out of this world. But you'd be refilling your carts and having to drip on your atomizer very very often.

But anyways, that's amazing that you've only had two analogs! Congratulations!

Hi Shananigens, I'm a newb too, but am still waiting on my first order, so haven't been able to try vaping yet :(

I can't believe that they have banned analogs ? WOW I never thought that would happen. Do you mean its illegal to buy tobacco completely ?

God help us all if they ban e-cigs. Here in Australia we can't buy any juice with nic in it, it's banned but we are allowed to import for personal use 3 months worth. That may well change. I'm hoping it doesn't. I enjoy smoking, but don't like the health problems associated with it which is why I'm so excited about vaping. I hope to get my kids to change as well when they see mine and can try it.

Good on you for getting off the analogs and doing so well in your first few days!

Sorry should have been more clear, you can still buy/smoke cigarettes in Michigan. They are just banned from restaurants, public places, any enclosed workspace, etc...like Xanax was referring to. From my understanding the only public places exempt are the Casinos and designated "cigar bars" (Hooka bars are being shut down). Im currently a college student and they are handing out tickets if you are smoking anywhere on campus even if you are in your own vehicle, which I think is rediculous! I cant wait to show off my e-cig to campus security haha

Oh, I get it! Yeah, that happened a long time ago here. You can't smoke within 50 feet of any holier-than-thou non-smokers anywhere. I think we even have a town near here where you can't smoke in your own home/apartment if it has adjoining walls with another home/apartment. Un-freaking-believable!

Greetings shenanigans,

I am well versed in the across-the-board banning of analogs in public places....in fact, where I live, it is illegal to smoke analogs within 25 feet of a public building, and you can't even smoke in open air if the property is public, say a mall parking garage. Makes the switch to PV's a no-brainer, eh? (Not to mention the health risks ;))

I too found that drawing on the PV is a much different feel than the analog...less resistance, not that "power" throat hit that we (ex :))smokers are used to. A simple cart mod will go a long way in helping that, but so will a day or two as you get used to it. I'm on my 3rd day, and it feels A-OK now. I have a 510 and I love it - it's a great starter PV.

Congrats and welcome, and let us know how it's going! Hearing from other new people helps me keep going, too :)
