I am a newbie, using a smartsmoker mini cig. It has those tiny little beige/brown colour carts approx 1cm long x 0.5 cm wide.
Looking through the posts it appears to be an RN4081 judging by the photo posted by Chrissie on 22.12.09, in response to another persons query.
I refill the carts myself with Johnsons Creek 18 mg juice, and use approx 1 ml of juice to fill 6 carts ( they really are tiny!).
I wished to ask if anyone can tell me my safe nic level in terms of cart numbers as my maths is rather poor to say the least. I am getting a little confused between mg & ml.
I know one is weight, and other is liquid amount, but not how they relate to each other.
Can any kind person of the forum explain the math to me?
I used to be a fairly heavy smoker, using around 20 - 30 tailor made cigs a day.
I discovered e cigs, and have not smoked tobacco cigs since 14 Oct 09. I am using 5 of these tiny carts per day, with no apparent side effects at present, but occasionally feel a little starved of nicotine.
Many thanks to anyone who might reply and explain the math to me in a manner I may understand.
I apologise in advance if this question has already been asked and answered. I have wandered through the posts but so far have not found an answer to my questions.
Happy New Year to all, with best wishes.:thumbs:

Hi Bar and welcome to ECF.

For most eliquids, the mg level on the bottle label is per 1ml of juice. However JC juices label per 1.2ml of juice. so in fact you have 15mg/ml of nicotine in your liquid. If this fills 6 carts, each cart will contain 2.5mg of nicotine but some of this will likely not be used as carts tend not to empty completely.

In terms of puffs, 0.1ml is ten puffs on average so that is around 1.5mg of nicotine.

Many users, myself included, use a normal level of liquid and then have some slightly stronger for times when you need a bigger 'hit' or feel cravings. We also tend to have some weaker ones for when we chain vape and that works quite nicely to ensure you don't overdo things.

I hope this helps a little.

Andy
