Ok, so I've switched from cigarettes to the DSE 901. I've been cigarette free for just over a month now. The problem that I have is that I may need a new e-cig. I love the shape and style of this, but I am growing tired of refilling the cart 5-10 times a day. I feel overwhelmed when I try to search for other things that may work. Is this something that may work for me? Smoktech 3.5ml 510 DCT (Dual Coil Tank) | Dual Coil Tank Kits At the Best Prices from the home of the largest and best selection of eCigs

I'm looking for some sort of e-cig that i dont need to refill as often.

The other part of the issue with the 901 is it feels clogged all the time. I've tried clearing it out, but it only seems to help for a few minutes and its back to feeling clogged and heavy inside. I'm not sure if the atomizer is going out, or if this is user error, or what it is. I used to only need about a 3 second or so drag, but now i feel like i have to pull on it for atleast 5.

Help?

I don't do 901's so the best I can do is get you started. Others will pipe in soon with more info.

OK. Let's separate the battery from the delivery-device (coil).

They have a connector type also. A 901 in your case. (DSE901 and KR808D-1 are the same).

So it's possible that you can find a 901 coil to fit your battery and get a sufficient vape. However, you'll probably have more luck with a 901 to 510 adapter and using 510 stuff.

The link you posted is for a 510 connection.
Adapter for connecting a DSE901 or KR808D-1 battery with a Joye510 atomizer

Also keep in mind that it can go the other way....using your existing 901 stuff on a (new) 510 battery. Here's a couple of adapters:
510 to [KR808D-1/DSE901] Adapter

That device is OK if you like carto tanks. However, you need to purchase pre-punched cartos or punch them yourself. Other tanks just have the coil built into the tank, and you can swap them out with a new "head" when they burn out. Up to you.

There's several makes and models. EVOD is popular lately too. But not the only one by a long shot.

DSE 901 is a cig-a-like correct? It uses a 901 connection which would need an adapter, plus the battery won't last that long. A lot of people are going to suggest a Ego or Joye battery because they are a very good beginner battery, the higher the MAU the more battery life you will get out of it. They use the 510 connection such as the tank you linked to, as for the DCT Smoktech, I havn't used one personally but carto-tanks are all typically the same thing; a 510 cartomizer that needs to be primed with e-juice and then can be submerged in the tank. The DCT however uses the dct cartomizers (they have the flange above the threads). Evod's are another good option for a tank system, they are a bottom coil clearomizer and use replacement heads rather than cartomizers. Someone will be along, I'm sure, with links to best pricing for products as these kind of questions come up a lot.

Welcome to the vape life, limitless options for mods and e-juice, I would suggest cruising the forum and doing some research and make a educated decision on batteries and juice. I spent a lot of money before I came here on stuff I don't use anymore and have spent a lot of money since on a hobby that undoubtedly saved my life.

I started out a few years back with the dse801 and I found it to be annoying as well and not very user friendly, same issues you are having really. Then I felt like I was pouring money into a product that wasent giving me the results I wanted, which was a decent tank. Now I have purchased a Halo Triton which basically is a Kangertech T2, which is a great model. My advice is to abandon the 901 and switch to a Kanger tech T3S kit, various vendors carry them and the you can even upgrade to a larger tank like the Kangertech Pro Tank. Vision spinner batteries are really good and they allow you to control your voltage for max vapor. 130717-173718.jpg My Kangertech T3S with vision spinner 1100mah battery.

Yeah after browsing a bit on AVC, I realized the switch from 901 to using a 510/eGo would be pretty cheap even just to test out if I like it enough, other than the tank, i'd just need a battery/charger. Guess its worth a shot, I've got a few friends who use 510, and they all seem to like it well enough. Some times this vaping terminology goes over my head, its still all so overwhelming.

I didn't even realize they still made 901 batteries! Yeah it seems like it is an outdated technology. The only use of 901 I've heard about recently is dripping with a 901 atomizer. They are the best for that!

Yeah, I had no idea what i was getting myself into, and my friend uses a 901, so I just followed what she used. I was SO overwhelmed with where to begin and I just knew I wanted to quit smoking. Now that i've quit cigarettes for a month, I *feel* like I'm in the clear to start experimenting and decreasing the nicotine dosages as well.

Not the cheapest option - but it 100% worked for me from day 1. Glad I dropped a few extra $$ upfront. (lots cheaper than chemo!)

I smoked for 26 years. Got a Lavatube V2 and a Kanger protank 3 days ago - smoke free for 3 days. This setup actually is working for me. Tried patches, gum and the V2 cigs - still had cravings. With the current setup no craving so far (fingers crossed). Using Blue Water Punch liquid and have some Shark Clove on order. Glad I found vape before it was too late.

To you (and the OP too)...

Many of us (not all) experience some withdrawal symptoms even while using e-cigs. Sometimes a "better" e-cig will help reduce them. But often it's due to withdrawal from the 7000 other chemicals that we're missing. Vape through it. Know what it is, and know it will pass.

The worst of it lasted about 2 weeks for me and was in the 1st month or so. There's other stuff too...some get "cold like" symptoms or some sleeping issues even if they reduce their nic at night. Even loss of taste for a bit. These things generally pass shortly. So stick with it. Vape through it.
