Hello,

My son from the UK bought an e-joy when he got here in Idaho, USA, in January 2011. I was hooked on the idea but the e-joy just did not do it at all.
The e-cig idea stayed with me, 20 a-day analogues, and even the thought of quitting took me up to 30!

Found this forum and knew they knew what they were on about, got confused, and left it for a while (6 months). Came back and got EGO stuck in my head. Went to LibertyFlights and bought the Joye Ego twin set, and some sample tobaccos. 'Impressed'... Spent two weeks messing about with flavors, (definitely
try Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarettes | Organic Electronic Cigarette eLiquid) strengths, organic vegetable glycerin, PG (diesel/oil), and
Quit Smoking All Together: the Web's Largest Quit Smoking Community, and DIACETYL !!!!

Got to the next stage quite quickly and ordered http://virginvapor.com/18mg Cappuccino, and 18mg Tobacco flavor from (vaporite) Todd?, and the longer battery twin set of Joy EGO, and 2 small 24mg e-liquids, cappuccino, and Churchill, from LibertyFlights (cost health and monetary-wise still just a little cheaper than analog). Todd's 18mg e-juice
arrived in time to stop the craving. I started smoking a few analogs, about 25 in a week while I was waiting for orders to arrive.

Still waiting on the twin EGO set from LibertyFlights, and already I am fed up with refilling, recharging, and getting globules of nicotine glycerin on my tongue. I am ready for the next step. I read here somewhere of someone, and her daughter, just like me, got something better going. It doers not look like an analogue ciggy, it has a constant (non-drip, big refill chamber, a good cone (vaporizer?), and long battery life.

I am supposed to post so many new posts as a newbie, and I hope someone ahead of me can just give me a break. All I know I wrote enough for those confused behind me, and I need to know the name of the vaporizer that has a good cone, a long battery life, and a big juice chamber.
So far I am going down the road of step-by-step rapidly. I think if I get the cleaner, bigger chamber nicotine dispenser, and the bigger less often nicotine hit, this will put me in a position where I can directly fight with the demon by knowing exactly when it strikes and how.

I have been feeling better since smoking e-cigs. They may have long term health effects, but as a shaman/Buddhist in training my body is already telling me this is a better alternative.
I'm 55 and have smoked heavily since 14 years of age.

There is an excellent mind/willpower pdf document by Allen Carr, but he has grown so big on that document it is hard to find the original paper which was so compelling, and strengthening. I lost it! I will look it up and attach it if I get time.

Glad to write to'yall here from poke, Idaho, life doesn’t get sweeter than this!

Regards to all,

Welcome and congratulations. Vaping like life in general has it share of setback and trial and error but if you stick with it you will find the perfect combination for you. No matter what you get next always try to have back ups on hand. Extra juice, cartos or attys and batteries are all essential and you don't want to find yourself stalking the mailman for running short of supplies.

It is hard to tell exactly what you are looking for from the description you gave but I think you may be looking for a bottom feed mod. There are both inexpensive (Old Goat Mods) and higher end models like the REO's. However before I try to offer advise on a particular pv for you I suggest you check out the ECF Library and go through the Wonderful World of Vaping series. The ECF Library

It will explain all of the basics you will need to understand to help you better identify what it is you are looking for.

Relax, mellow, mellow. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

No seriously it's tough giving up any addiction and e-cigs don't replace the other 4 thousand chemicals you are used to getting.

I have been vaping over two years and the only thing I have learned is that I will always be an addict looking for a reason to pick up another cig.

Try not to dispair, there is always a way forward or around. Let yourself be the stream that gently flows around the rock in your path. Just like meditation e-cigs take practice and focus. The ritual of refilling will become part of your comforting routine.

I can't say what will work for you. Only you will find it. Well charges batteries always help. A good supply of quality atties and juice is a must have. It takes time and patience to find the path.

I feel your pain, I really do. Probably the best advice I have been given is to step up to a large battery mod, keep your coil damp but not flooded. Fresh batteries and attys/cartos always help. Clearomizers, fluxomisers, tanks etc, are all hit and miss.

Keep in mind that sometimes they threw a ball and you swung and sometimes they threw a strike and you missed. Quality products will only produce if you learn how to use them.

Welcome to the forum!

I think you will definitely like your ego when you get it. It was my first pv and I'm still using it 8 months later and still love it. It fits my needs exactly and will probably stick with this or some form of an ego forever. Why mess with what works?

Definitely get yourself some cartomizers to start off with. Boge 2.0 cartomizers are great. They sell them at Liberty Flights or you can get a good deal right now at Good Prophets. use the code TVCFriend for 5% off. Boge cartos hold about 1 ml of juice.

Once you get your ego and get used to it, you can always move on to other things, try out different cartomizers that hold more juice.

You purchased a great pv, I'm sure you're going to like it!

I wouldn't worry about huge tanks or huge cartomizers that hold a lot of juice at this point. You don't even know yet what juice you're going to like or the best nicotine strength for you.

Once you do find the right juice at the right nicotine level and the right pg/vg ratio for you, then look into something that will hold more juice. Why fill up a cartomizer with 4 ml of juice if you end up hating it? And trust me, you'll hate some of your juices. Everyone does.

One last thing- Relax!

Make vaping enjoyable, because it is! No more stinky cigs, no more dirty looks. You may have a few cigs when you first start. No big deal. The vaping police won't knock on your door. Eventually you do end up liking vaping more than smoking. It's a process.

Was thinking about this the other day. got into roll your own cigs back in 2008. Think this actually made converting over easier for me. There is some tinker time that is required for vaping, I am glad that I had that tinker time already put aside for stuffing smokes. So many people I know are just too busy all the time and just can't seem to find the time to sit for a few minutes and get their juice and cartos put into order.

Once you get your Ego set (which won't need recharged so much) give the clearomizers a shot. They're a tank style carto and hold a lot of juice. I'll fill one up and it'll go about all day without having to be refilled. Can't hurt to try, so far I'm preferring them over the Boge cartos myself. Each person has their own method for vaping, just gotta try things out to see what fits your lifestyle and preference. Good luck in your journey.

Welcome to the forum... I'm not a newbie, just haven't been active on here, but can say that there is a bit of a learning curve with vaping. I think the hardest thing to do is finding the setup that works for you... the PV (personal vaporiser), atomiser and juice combinations are almost infinite, and it can be overwhelming. Pepsifreak is absolutely right, though, it all depends on what fits with your lifestyle, and you may find that you need different PV's for different times. It's frequently commented in other forums how people have their daily vaping kit, and their kit for home... and that some people prefer a stronger juice in the morning or evening.... What I can say about this forum is that there's a wealth of knowledge here, and plenty of people who are more than willing to help you on your journey. We've all been new at this once, but unlike the pioneers of vaping, there are people who can help and point you in the right direction.

I started with an eGo and 18mg juice. Got Boge 2ohm cartomizers and 24mg juice...got me off cigs. Wanted even easier, and ended up with a REO. Basically, it is a small bullet-proof unit with a built in juice bottle (no leaks; no napkins needed) and removable batteries (so you can have a few spares charged at all times). It accomodates 510 or 306 atomizers or cartomizers. Pop by the REO forum and see if that may be your answer: Reos Mods

Vaping is now easier than smoking for me, and that is what I needed. :)

So many people I know are just too busy all the time and just can't seem to find the time to sit for a few minutes and get their juice and cartos put into order.

Yet these same people always find the time to jump in the car to run to the store to buy more smokes when needed.
