Hello everyone, Okay First post for me. I am not new to vaping or to this forum just haven’t posted because I had such a problem quitting the analogs. I was really beating myself up over the fact that I couldn’t completely stop. I think reading how easy it was for others I was embarrassed by the fact I couldn’t just stop. I stated with the dreaded blu cigs then quickly went to several different ego style types and can’t even remember what types. That didn’t satisfy me either. I got the Itaste MVP and the aspire nautilus and that was impressive but I still struggled so I went to a real vape store and walked out based on their recommendations with a mechanical mod and the first version of the Aspire Atlantis and several expensive bottles of e-juice at 12 mg. I thought I was set this was going to do the trick. Well for two weeks I really tried to get use to that style of vaping and just gave up and thought this is not for me. Then I started reading everything on this forum and finally got the cool fire IV and used my aspire nautilus and cut way down on the analogs. I just got the cool fire plus IV with the ISub Apex a couple weeks ago and ordered max vg with 3mg. So long story short I am on day three of no analogs. I switch back and forth using both my cool fire set-ups and it seems to be satisfying and working. I kind of want to thank the tootle puffers because I really thought I would have to blow clouds to be satisfied. LOL So thank you everyone I don’t think you realize how many newbies you help from your post. :)

Hi @A24Smiley. No reason to beat yourself up over not being to drop cigs quickly, Lord knows it is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Everyone has to find their own path. Before I forget:
CONGRATS on Day 3!
I must admit that I am also a closet tootle puffer. Nice cool vape, low watts and long drags is what works for me. And thats the trick, finding what works for you! Once you get out of the habit of smoking, it does become easier and easier. Keep you head up and find your path, Grasshopper! :)

Congrats! glad you are here and welcome!

Pilot hit it on the head - it's all about what works for YOU (and it's unfortunate that many vape stores don't take the time to really set you up for success over chasing a sale...)

And absolutely NO reason to beat yourself up - it is a process, and you are on the right path

Thank You you are so right that this is a process and finding the right set-up is a major one. I should have know that was the wrong vape store for me. I could not even see through the clouds when I walked in and they automatically said I needed to Sub Ohm to feel satisfied and I fell 100 % for it. LOL Live and Learn

yah - unfortunately a lot of shops (and a lot of vapers) automatically assume that what works for them will work for everyone and that is SO not the case (and, in the case of the shops, the sub ohm gear tends to cost more... so... sales...)

glad to hear you are finding a setup that works for YOU - that is the key!

Welcome home. Thank you for your post; I hope other n00bs having the same trouble will see it and realize a)there is no shame in not quitting immediately, and b) we're here to help, and we won't quit until we get you straightened out. Well done on quitting.

quitting tobacco is a hard process. I tried many times before I succeeded some of my friends tried e-cigs and were still not able to quit.the surgeon general once said it's harder than kicking ....... don't beat yourself up and don't stop trying. you will make it eventually. I tried e-cigs 4 years ago using the ones sold at convenience stores and they did not work for me.13 month ago I tried an ego with a GS-H2 tank and that did the trick for me.I've moved on to better gear and DIY juice but I still use that original set up for stealth vaping.finding what works for you is a major step toward quitting. best of luck and we are all pulling for you:)

Thank You @mauricem00 I truly appreciate all the support. I am a stubborn person so I will keep trying until something sticks LOL Day three and so far feeling great. I really want to give the DIY a shot but going to wait for a little while for that. I will be asking a ton of questions when I venture down that road.

Hi @A24Smiley , and congrats on Day 3! WOOT!!!! Day at a time, lurvly, and every analog you avoid is a First & 10 towards the goal! Those first couple weeks, they ARE the toughest, and if you can make it there, you'll make it ANYwhere! So set ya mind, plant yer feet and keep on! You can DO EEEET!

Looking forward to seeing you around a LONG time. You definitely have the right mindset now, the gear situation is looking up, and we ARE here to lift you up and help you get there!
OK, Day 4, Come at me!! :)
