Newbie question, hopefully will prevent more

So, I'm new to vaping, but I wind up modding pretty much all of my toys, so of course I wound up here pretty quickly. I was wondering if there's some type of list of well known/common mods (preferably organized by function)? It seems this would help prevent noobs like myself from wasting a lot of time re-inventing the wheel & driving all the vets nuts with dumb questions about how to engineer something that's already common knowledge.
