Hey all. I just purchased an Ego-V V2 (mega) and a dual coil carto (made by smok) and a 6ml tank. With the variable voltage system at 4.0v and the Carto at 1.5 Ohms, i am sitting at approximately 6 watts. But im not getting a thick vape. Is this the juice or operator error. Thank you for your time.
Ps. I have from 3 to 6 volts to play with.

What is the PG/VG ratio of your eliquid? Also, have you tried increasing the voltage a little over 4V to see if you get a better vape? I have a different setup, but on my variable wattage device I haven't found a juice yet that tastes and vapes well at 6W; I have a dessert juice that tastes best to me at 6.5W, but I vape all others at around 7.5 to 8W.

The more VG (vegetable glycerin) the more vapor, the more PG (propylene glycol) the more flavor/throat hit (TH). The thicker juice, more VG, tend to gunk up coils quicker. I have settled on a 50/50 blend but some people have adverse effects to PG and go higher ratio on VG. It's just preference, welcome to the world of vaping. A lot of trial and error but with this forum you can greatly decrease bad buys/wrong items.

Still not sure what those acronyms mean..

Pg (propylene glycol) and Vg (vegetable glycerin) are the two major components of e-liquid, along with liquid nicotine and flavoring agents.

Pg has the characteristic of carrying flavor more than Vg, but Vg has the characteristic of producing more vapor. Ratios are chosen depending upon which characteristic is more important to the user.

Although the safe vaping power chart was designed more for single coil cartomizers, it can help you understand the relationship of resistance (ohms) and voltage (power) and the resulting wattage. The majority of vapors prefer vaping in the 7 - 8 watt range (see green blocks section of the chart). This chart is only used as a guideline, and vapors should choose to adjust to taste and personal preference for each flavor/juice that they use.

I've not been a fan of dual coils and don't use them, but a 1.5 ohm dual coil actually has two 3.0 ohm coils within it, so you may need to increase the voltage as if it were a 3.0 ohm cartomizer to get satisfactory results. Someone more familiar with using dual coils can either confirm this or debunk it. I've heard it said that for a dual coil to truly shine in performance that they need more voltage than a single coil would use.

Ok, not seeing the vapor you think you should be seeing. Watching too many YouTube videos? There's some extreme vaping stuff on there that's just.. silly.

First, assuming you are getting vapor, what do things taste like and feel like? If it tastes good and you feel the vape, it could be you have a high PG liquid. Nothing wrong with that. A higher proportion of VG in a liquid instead is what can produce those huge clouds of vapor. Can you tell us anything about the liquid you got? Do you kinow the PG/VG ratio of the liquid?
