Hi
Have been given up 3 weeks thanks to my ecig but one of my carts has given up on me and tastes like burnt toast! Rang the local shop where I purchased it from and was told they can last between 2 and 8 weeks come and get more only £8.00 each. Found carts on ebay 5 for £9.00 so ordered them to give them a try arrived today and are too big as far as I know I have a ce4 kit. I messaged the ebay seller who said they should fit all ego batteries and to ask my shop the battery type. I have asked my shop and was told I can only get them from them! Mmmm! Ebay seller is happy for me to send them back but I have no idea what cartomizer I need! My battery is just a stick type one that screws into the charger and is 650 mah. I dont know if anyone can maybe help me.
Thanks in advance

Does your battery look similar to this?

If that's what your battery looks like then they should be compatible with nearly everything 510/ego threaded.

If you're actually using a ce4 i assume it looks like this correct?:

Don't have any cartos laying around but im assuming the part you say is "sticking out" looks somewhat similar to this connector?

To upload a pic, get it from your device to your computer, then use the little "frame with a tree' Insert Image icon in the upper right to add/upload it.

I see the difference now, it may be that the original ones did not have a floating center pin and the new ones do.

If you push down on the center pin (dead middle, slotted) of the clearo does it move up and down, and if so can you screw it onto your battery by apply just a small amount of pressure, ie overcoming the spring load so the threads can begin to engage?

For example, heres a non spring loaded 1Clear 16 (left) and a spring loaded (oddly enough opposite of yours) CE4:

Both will readily thread onto any ego battery that i have.

Mine is the one on the right. The red one!

Hi and welcome!

The image at the bottom illustrates what devices fit on an eGo-type battery. However...

Sometimes the center connector on clearos have a spring. Press the bottom connector with your finger to see if it gives. I have had some like that and it feels counter-intuitive to push them down onto the battery when you screw them on, but that is how they are designed. DO NOT push it down onto the battery if is doesn't give when pressed with your finger. If it is the type with a spring, it will get more "springy" the more that it's pushed and you won't have to push hard very many times.

OUCH.

Deep breath.... and exhale ....

You have clearomisers, not cartomisers. They should last from 2-8 weeks, sure. (The type you have CE4, can be killed off in 3-4 days with the wrong e-liquid).

Take the ebay refund....and don't go back. ecig related items are NOT permitted on ebay and people selling them are using a "loophole" which could cost you eventually.

If something doesn't fit your battery, then you might have an "odd" fitment on your battery....in other words, you are probably "tied" into that brand unknowingly.

There are lots of complications going on here. I'm off to sleep, but please hang in there and you will get it sorted.

I have to say, it all sounds a bit concerning and if you are expected to buy a cheap (£4) clearo for £8 you might be getting taken for a ride.

It happened to me. It's happening to lots of people.

The center pin does move and it screws on do you think this could just be a new model? I was scared to force it incase I broke it! I will give it a go whats the worst that can happen

As I said, it seems counter-intuitive. I was anxious about it the first time too. Worst case scenario is it will push down the center pin, but I seriously doubt that will happen. If you don't feel comfortable with it, keep pressing the pin with your finger for a while. The spring will loosen up. That type actually turned out to be my favorite!

If it screws on and fires (vapes) you're fine! Just a slightly different design, no harm in being over cautious with your vape toys! Also before you pitch your old CE4 why not take it apart and try to clean with hot water and soak in alcohol for a bit and see if it comes back around, nothing to lose.

P.S. try a Protank, evod, and or a mini/full vivi-nova clearomizers, never hurts to try different coil locations/types.
