I'm all for Ebay in general. I've bought a majority of my semi-pro photography gear there from cameras to lenses. I've been using Ebay for years and will continue to do so from reputable sellers that have sold items to other people.

MAKE SURE the item is covered by Ebay's Buyer Protection(it is listed below the option to purchase it).

Yes, as long as it has Ebay Buyer Protection, you are rest assured that you will either recieve the product as stated, or get your money back. It is the best peace of mind you will find online.

Also, if there is an option to use PayPal- always go that route as it is more secure than sending some person your credit card information.

So yes, in previous years when Ebay was still the big hot topic, there were many people getting screwed over. The things listed above have become staples for Ebay to ensure all parties get their respective item or payment. No more forgery or craziness- most of the time. If something happens Ebay's buyer protection will get your money back.

So yes, tread lightly, do your research, buy from reputable sellers, and follow the above advice. :)

if it hasn't been mentioned yet, selling e-cigs on ebay isn't allowed by ebay's rules,,,,,

which means if they send you a metal tube in a paper bag, paypal isn't going to help you.

I won't risk any more than 10 bucks (coil heads, etc) on Ebay,,,,,,,

It use be in the tobacco policy.
It's not there anymore.
Do you have a link of where to find this rule?

it's listed under tobacco and tobacco related products,,,,,,,,,,,yeah, ironic, I know

Tobacco policy

they do, however, allow nicotine patches to be sold. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not fair.

Found it nevermind :p

So technically no e-cigs allowed.

Until they update the rules there are many loopholes around it.

There are no rules about vaporizers though.

People use water pipes and oil burners... that's the loophole for pipes that people use.(I don't, just saying- to every rule there is at least one loop hole.)

I went to Ebay and they have MVP V-2 for 48.00 free shipping..........Red Flags started going up in my head, Ebay sellers sell them at 48.00 and everyone else is at 59.00 + ?

Sounds fishy to me, anyone know if this is all on the up and up ?

Thanks, Steve -:2cool:

I bought one off eBay a few weeks ago, $48.00 +shipping. I got a brand new MVP 2, authentic security code, unopened package, shipped the same day. I was nervous about it too but the guy had great feedback.

Yea its crazy. Nicotine patches are okay..but not an e-cig. See that why the FDA needs to make some sort of guidline saying e-cigs are okay (ex. here is how they are suppose to be used, this is the limitation, WARNING nicotine is a drug, should not be abused, do not use more than said amount, etc.) :)

What I find odd is that the eBay seller has sold 87, but there is not ONE single feedback for the VTR. There is feedback for other cheaper things, but not the VTR. He has the listing set as private, so no matter what feedback anyone gives, no one can see it.

What it the point of buying on eBay if a seller's feedback can be hidden?

I won't be buying much on eBay anymore. I will try to buy directly from China as much as POSSIBLE for everything I buy online, (almost everything comes from China to start with anyway ) since eBay is now charging so called 'import tax' for international buyers.

RIP OFF! Grand theft in broad daylight.

I just received my MVP2 that I ordered off eBay. It's been working great, package was sealed and looked like it hadn't been tampered with. As I have no brick and mortar store within 100 miles, ALL my buying is online!!!

I bought my mvp2 off eBay. Serial number checked out. Great unit. Paid like $47. And now they're cheaper at 101vape. But hey, I'm happy. Puff.

Yeah... There is always something cheaper once we have an item. I try never to look at prices AFTER buying something.

Anyway, just an update. My order did arrive from the eBay seller in a very timely manner. So to sum up my experience: If you are an international buyer buying from a seller that has the Global Shipping Program, then the GSP is expensive, but your item arrives fairly quickly. I probably won't go that route again, unless I absolutely have no choice. Or if I'm living in a country that has steep import taxes or corrupt postal officials, that might be perfect.

I got my MVP2 from an ebay seller with high sales and 100% feedback. i got a genuine unit for 46 bucks and fast shipping. US seller.
Vapes like a world champ.
Its good to be cautious, but understand that Ebay sellers have to be very competitive. if not, there's a seller right below him that can beat him out of a sale.
I have bought a lot off ebay for many years and rarely had a problem with anything.
dont be afraid to check feedback, sales and sellers account age.

Believe I ordered off the same guy, as same price, also got the new 6 rivet itaste v3 coming from him too, was concerned using eBay, but with his stats took the gamble, meant to be here Thursday.

Got my 1st MVP2 from 101vapes, but wanted a blue one too, once add the shipping, it is a few bucks cheaper than the eBay one, was prepared to pay the few extra bucks to get the color I wanted :)

I dont have anything to add about the item specifically mentioned but I purchase all my disposable clearomizers from ebay. I buy in packages of 20 (for around $35) from the same vendor. It seems like every 3rd or 4th disposable I purchase from my local b&m doesnt work. They dont accept returns nor do exchanges on clearomizers. Id rather take my chances paying 2$ a piece than to pay $6 and be stuck with a dud. I just placed a rather large order from a few 5 star vendors so im hoping i didnt just jinx myself!

I have bought all but one of my VV3s from eBay. I have bought all of my Davide tanks from eBay. I ordered 3 more Davides tonight. I also bought 2 MVP2s for the same price as OP. I have also bought batteries for my PVs from eBay. I am waiting for 2 VTRs to come in this week (Excited!!!). So far they are all reputable sellers and authentic products. Innokin has a place on the web to check the serial numbers for their items.

My advice is to do research, read the sellers feedback and know exactly what you are buying. I have been a member of eBay since 2002 and trust it for the most part. I have bought other high end items without any issues. Good luck. Stinks that they mess with the Vapers at eBay. I am sure disputes could be settled though.

VTR should be here tomorrow. Package has been scanned at my local post office....
