I'm actually not a vaper yet. I've been smoking 30+ years and am trying to get started on vaping to see if I can make the switch. My SIL told me about this, and let me try a system she had, but then she didn't really go much further with it. I began to seek out information, and found Phil Busardo. I have learned a lot, but am still very new to all this and get confused over various terms, products etc quite easily. Based on Phil's recommendations, and reviews of it, I've decided to go with a Kgo system. The place I was going to order from is out of black. I found another place, but they have two kgo systems, so I have an email into them now to try to figure out which one I want/need. I received some mega dual coil cartos today and have some boge 510 cartos coming and some 3 ml bottles of juice (5 of them) coming. I basically want to find one or two juices that I can vape all the time and a good system. I don't have a lot to spend trying tons of juices and things. I have been smoking super cheap cigs, and need to keep this as inexpensive as I can.

So, that's my story in a nutshell. All suggestions/advice is welcome from those who know what they're doing with all this, because I certainly do not! lol

Hi Debadoo-Welcome & congrats. I smoked for almost 50 years & quit after 4 days after trying a cheapie throw-away. Actually, today is 10 months for me & it feels great. I've stuck w/Joyetech products so I can't say anything about the kgo, I do know a lot of people here love them. My only advice is that you may consider doing DIY somewhere down the line as it really is so much less. I've only found about 3-4 juices (ready made) that are a MUST HAVE, & even those I mix w/my own. Good luck on your new venture....let me know if I can help.

Welcome to ECF !!!

Only thing you may be a bit short on in the juice. I vape from 3-5mL per day, which is about a high average amount. Find a flavor you like can be challenging, I just kept it simple, plain sorts like mint, licorice, lemon, that I like the flavor of in other eats, drinks and sweets. DIY is the cheapest way to go, 500mL high nic, high quality juice for mixing costs me less than a carton used to....

Thanks so much. The DIY, is that mixing your own juice? Once I get the rest of what I need to vape, and figure that out, I may tackle the juice stuff next if it really is a lot better price deal. What are the 3-4 juices that you really like? I ordered from blue mist vaping and got an assortment of what I think I might like, so we'll see. Wow, that is so great you quit after 50 years. Happy 10 month Vape-A-Versary!!!

Thanks stosh, yeah I realize that's not enough juice at all, but really didn't have the funds to buy bigger bottles to sample, so I figured once I get all my stuff, I can see if I like one of those enough to buy a larger bottle of it and go from there.

Welcome to ECF Debadoo! You have come to the right place, I read this board inside and out every chance I get, and I learn new things everyday. I only wish I'd found ECF the day I started vaping, or better yet, before I started vaping, it sure would have saved me from some initial bad purchases. I think you've made a great choice with the Kgo, I've not used that one myself, but there are a ton of people here who do use them and they love them.

Kick your shoes off, pull up a couch and start reading!

Hi debado ,I am also on a limited budget so I hear you.I'm sure the Kgo is great but battery replacement is too pricey for me.I am just upgrading From an EGO 650 after a year.I just an Echo kit from From Liberty Flights. They are all basic Ego
clones some with more power than others.I was going to order a KGO too but battery replacement is a little steep for my budget.I'm sure it is a great kit and it was a great recomendation.Whatever you buy you should buy spare batteries with it.
Good liquid is expensive too so you should buy some samplers too so you will know what your tastes are.By the way I was a 50 year smoker too.Good Luck to you.;)

Hadn't heard about the Echo ones. I can't get liberty flights website to pull up right now. Can you tell me approx the cost difference in batteries? Will the echo work with boge 510 cartos and ego mega dual coil 4 ml cartos?

That's a good syStem. If you are trying to stay on the less expensive side, you may want to look into the 808. They are similar in size to figs, and some of them are very good. The cartos can be refilled to keep you cost down. Most of the companies have starter kits that include 2 batteries a travel charger and pack of carto for $60-70. They all have coupon codes to get between 10-20% off too.

As far as juice, it is cheaper to order from juice companies rather than the larger e cig sellers. A great site I use is vapordudes.com. The will send you a bottle for free with no purchase necessary when you use the code fbfree. Also, if you use the code vapordudes, you can eat 40% off your order, you can use them together. Their prices are $5 for a 10ml bottle, but the codes, it gets cheap. My first order was for 6 different flavors, all with extra flavor and my total with shipping was$12

Hello Debadoo the newbie ,

I'm allso a newbie but, I learned alot here lurking befor I became a member . I'm a non-smoker as of a month and a half now...
Man it sounds like you have a good start allready. The people here a very nice and love to help. Alot of people here are seasoned vaporers.....

I learned that you read reviews and get name brand stuff. Like I bought a Joyetech 510 e cig with the manual battery.
It's just quality compaired to some others. It is so good and popular all kinds of companies copy them cheap, junky(knock offs)

I seen some videos on youtube from a cool guy named Shawn, he has a company now called Zeecigs.com and i got one of the kinda pricey $ kits . I think it was a standered kit ?

Anyway he sells top of the line stuff. That is what I like, you know, you but it one time because it works and it lasts , and saves you money.

I allso really like Phil Busardo , he has some great reviews and I learned alot from him to.

This is a link to a website and e liquid chart by Phil Busardo TasteYourJuice.com if you don't already have it.

Best Wishes ....

Thanks so much for this! I've ordered cartos, juice etc from 3 places. Each place in the shopping cart has a place to enter a coupon code, but when I asked one place where you get the coupon codes, they replied that their prices were already so low they didn't offer any. lol

Since I'm a total newbie here, I will say HI to you too!! I, am also new to vaping (very new) and you will find out why I sort of backslid if you read my first post here.
I was lucky enough to have my BFF take me to FSUSA and there I picked out the Joye Ego-T 650 system. Only 69.00 for 2 batteries and all the other stuff that goes with it. I left the store that day with several juices and received my first order of additional juices the other day. I want to keep my options open for vaping. I am eclectic in tastes, so I like to change my around a lot!

From one newbie to another---welcome to ECF!!! This forum looks totally awesome!

Thank you (applause, bow). DIY saves a ton & it's amazing what you can do. I always smoked menthols & chuckled when I saw flavors like waffles & bacon - I thought there was only reg. or menthol. Check out ECBlend E-Liquids - Something Better - they make samplers to your specs. - great prices - selection - fast shipping. Good luck & Happy Vaping!
