Congratulations, the worst is almost behind you. I don't remember, do you have an rda? have you made your own coils? I found that playing with different builds adds some excitement and flavor to help keep your mind off of things. Another advantage is the excitement and anticipation of testing out a new coil. It's relatively cheap, to get started, small screwdrivers some wire, cutters and pliers. Lots of information out there, just a thought.

Slips may happen, not a big deal. It's not how often you fall, just that you keep getting back up. I remember that first week as being hell on earth. After that it will get better. I was really good at quitting cigarettes, I did it many times :) I did the nicotine gum (I still have some in my back pack if I hit a really stressful time) patches, exercise (not hard core running like you) nothing really stuck until I started vaping. I guess I really liked the actual act of smoking. vaping gives us that.

Have you noticed food tasting better? More energy? better lung capacity?

While this is not a support group for people quitting smoking BUT please let us know how you are doing. Most people who vape have been where you are, that's quitting smoking not Scotland :)

Hiya, my tank is a Kanger Protank 4 which is an RBA rather than an RDA I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Still coming to terms with terminology.

In the Protank 4 kit I have some Kathan wire and cotton but I haven't had to build yet. In fact, I'm still on my first coil and I have another 5 Clapton coils there so plenty time to learn by mistake before they're used.

I've got questions about tanks and coils particularly when to clean or change but I'll put them in another post.

I am an Engineer by profession so it is something I will be trying out along with concocting my own liquids while I can access nicotine :)

Not sure about food tasting better but certainly food is tasting different. Can't quite put my finger on it other than 'hmmm this tastes..erm...different' I can smell things now too but I'm sure I've still got a long way to go with the senses.

Not noticed anymore energy or lung capacity yet. We're relatively fit anyway and have always cycled and recently started the running thing but we have noticed that our breathing is different especially out on a cycle. Less breathlessness and breathing seems to be regulating a lot quicker.

No worries. I don't intend to use the forum as a quit smoking place and I'm finding that focusing on all things vape to be of immense distraction. Hey, after all, I'm not quitting smoking....I'm an ex smoker :)

I agree with your point and sums me up too. I enjoyed the ritual of rolling and not necessary the smoking and vaping certainly helps to kerb that urge. Why I didn't commit to this before is a mystery o_O
