Funny thing about smoking. I have quit a few times in the past--once for almost 4 years. The problem was always that the longer I stayed away from cigarettes, the better they would smell. So I always tried to do the "mature" thing, and have just one. That "one" was always magnificent, and the smell was magnificent. With vaping, however, it's a totally different experience. My first 10 days or so it was easy to cut down to only one or two cigarettes a day. Then I would go several days without one. Now, after a month, they absolutely stink! They smell and taste awful! I just can't believe it. I have never experienced a negativism to cigarette smoke before. An added plus is all of the gear--all the toys. It's something to play with and a new hobby to explore. So far, so good. I am liking this.

I couldn't agree more - only I found the same at around the end of my first week of vaping - cigarettes burning for some reason began to smell to me like paraffin/kersosene.

This contrasts with the end of my last attempt at giving up via Smoking Cessation Courses and Nic replacement therapy - at the six weeks stage I was in Motherwell town centre when a man filled his pipe with Condor and lit up. I smelled it from across the street and followed him round the precinct...ending up going into the tobacconists, buying a cheap pipe and a packet of the said Condor.

This is why I absolutely believe vaping is the only way to go!

I am coming up to a month off cigarettes as well and the smell is really starting to bug me. My wife still smokes and I let her still smoke in the car. I smoked a lot longer and more than she did, so I am trying not to be hypocritical.

I also quit for almost 4 years starting about 10 years ago. I had one after a bunch of drinks, then a couple... And within a week I was back up to a pack a day. Stupid.

I quit smoking completely The day I bought my vape gear. It am also loving this new "hobby".

Good luck!
