I tried clearamizers today. They are the 510XL size. They are great. Hold a lot of juice, and you can see when they are getting low on juice before they run dry. Quick and easy to fill. Wicking material works much better than other cartomizers I have used. I am using them with a pass thru. Seemed like the smartest thing to do.

can you please tell me where you got them from, I'm interested just don't know where to go!
Thank you

my steadies still dripping, unless im driving. these XLs are wonderful for me driving. im pretty sure mine are the 2.8 or 3 ohm (cant remember what he told me) and i can hit and hit these while driving and they barely ever dry up on me. id prefer a lower ohm though to get a little more vapor and th. one thing i noticed though, they pop quick. i can use a sr atty on 6v fine, but these on 6v popped it on my 2nd hit. could have been a bad clearo or maybe they are lower ohm then told. but ego + XL driving is NICE

myvaporstore.com has them. and i just made an order sat night and didnt notice them there... next weekend if they still have stock i guess

With the clearos the ohm is totally opposite of LR. At 6v the 2.8-3.0 are ususally better(at least for me) on a 3.7v batt....maybe you should try a higher ohm? Just a thought.

On Clearomizer tubes that crack, break, or get eaten by that really strong cinnamon juice...

Grab a handfull of 3ml syringes next time you're at the pharmacist, hobby store, or animal co-op. They're usually really cheap...as in 20 to 50 cents each. If they come with needles even better (18 gage is good for working with e-liquid). You can never have too many of these around the house anyway...for glueing stuff back together, refilling your inkjet printer, and on and on and on.

Now...if find yourself running short of CE2 sleeves, but still have plenty of working guts from them...well, just cut a syringe down to size and shove it on. You're good to go :)

As a side note, if you like to tinker with stuff...larger syringes or various plastic bottles can be modded with rubber gaskets to turn these into super tankers. There's also folks that will make and QC test these for you here on the forums.

Here's a good example:

You can also get MAP tanks from Clouds of Vapor.

I didn't notice any primer taste. There are several videos on youtube that show and explain how to take them apart and get them modded for easy filling.

I bought a pack from MVS. They are version 5. I filled one up and all I can say is GROSS! I've had some bad tasting cartos, but they didn't even compare to how bad this tasted. I watched a lot of videos on how to take them apart and that inner silicone ring (that has the holes for syringe filling) just will NOT come out. I tried from the top and also tried to remove the tube from the bottom. Neither worked. The tube would come off the bottom, but the silicone ring was stuck and it caused the metal part to pull apart (the top part still attached at the silicone ring). Is there some trick to this? When I watched the videos, they all wiggled the tube off the bottom and it slid apart easily. I was thinking they may have been an older version and the newer ones don't come apart that easily (if at all). Is there a way to get rid of the ick w/o taking it apart?

I decided to dig them out again and give them another try. I pulled out the one I originally filled and gave it a vape. Not good, but not gross. I decided to add a sweeter juice of the same flavor to sweeten it up. It worked - tasted great.

So, I decided to open a new one and fill it. Used the syringe and inserted it in the fill hole - filled fine. This time, the first vape was excellent! I figured the other one may have just been a dud.

BUT - after about 10 drags on each, it returned to an even more gross, more chemical taste.

UNCLE! I give.

The second one I filled got a real dark sludge in it right around the coil that was causing a pretty bad taste. I just cleaned out the top and now it tastes and vapes awesome. Look for any dark coloration in the top part. Just another idea...

If you are seeing dark sludge, your juice is burning, same taste as a "dry hit" from an atty when dripping. These cartos and others have the same sort of issues of insufficent wicking, same as many carts and tanks. You will get varation depending on the thickness of your juice mix.

Loosening the ring on the cerimic cup helps, larger tank (Stormy Tank suggested above) helps more, tipping your PV so the juice flows to the top helps, and re-filling when 2/3 used helps.

No dark sludge. Not the same taste as a dry hit off an atty. It tastes like the liquid plus some kind of strong chemical. Mayne a combo of dry atty hit + nasty chemical variation of my juice.

I tried turning them upside down (they have actually been that way for several hours now... Let's give them another try to see if it improved..

:vapor: ... :vapor: ... :vapor: ... :vapor:

Eeeew! Gag! Cough! Wretch! Nope... not any better. The original one that I added juice to was equally as bad. The second one that I filled last night seemed better, but after 5 drags (as I was trying to decide if it was better, since it still wasn't good) it got much worse. By the 5th any improvement was definitely gone - gross!

Cat in the playground,

I'm curious as to what kind of juice this is that tastes so bad for you.

I've noticed that what ever kind of plastic it is they use on those sleeves can be altered by some of my juices.

By altered, I mean they turn cloudy, then get brittle, and eventually crack up. I had one do this over a 3 day period with a strong cinnamon flavor. Another did it over a week with citrus flavors.

Now I keep a few that the tubes have been replaced with syringes and make sure to use these for the spicy or acidic stuff. I trust the plastic in these since they are specifically made for medicines and foods.
