Hi Guy's

I started vaping in November and got to say I love it, still smoking the cancer sticks but have went from smoking 20-30 a day to now smoking 19 on average rarely more and occasionally less. Like most first time users (according to the posts on here anyway) I have been using cig alike models, unlike most first-time uses I wasn't particulary bothered about something that looks and feels like a cig- seems a bit futile trying to replace a habit with something that feels exactlly the same thing. Anyway I started with freshcig and from the start I loved it and could see myself gradually cutting down and stopping then three things happened - both batteries died, we had a day of gale force winds (hurricaine bawbag) and my Grandmother died. Whilst I waited on the replacement batteries my routine got disturbed I also tried Skycigs but I didn't like them. Also during this time I messaged the friend who introduced me to vaping to see what she reccomended she reccomended TotallyWicked - OMG their website scared the life out of me too much choice , liquids refilling cartridges how do you even know how to start ? The replacements for the faulty batteries came and I started vaping again and started stocking up for Christmas. Christmas morning (possibly still merry from Xmas punch ) I smashed my usb charger oops good thing I had a spare that night I smashed the spare possibly for the same reason, don't judge me it was Christmas and I had to wait until after the Holidays to continue my vaping despite having a full stock of batteries and cartridges frustrating , anyway lesson learnt no use having spare, spare everything but chargers.

Anyway when life started to return to normal I started to realise that if I want to stop smoking altogether I need to move on to something a bit bigger, I also tried e-lites and counted up the amount of "cigarettes" it equated too which was 18 rather than the 40 they advertise, kudos to them for being availiable in real shops rather than e-shops tho and I do like the taste I'm finding the cartridges in the cig-u-like models last no where near as long as they are "supposed" too in terms of cigs or money reading some of the threads on here I am starting to realise why but all the threads I have read so far mention model numbers rather than retailers and I have no idea where to start if I am going to upgrade my vaping needs.
Also worth noting I did fall for one of the "free trials " last night alarm bells rang when the add showed up in my inbox but my vaping friend "liked" their page on facebook so I thought it would be ok , I did however have the common sense to use a visa electron card that won't authorise payments if no funds availiable and no funds will be availiable as I don't use account.

Anyway dodgy sites aside can people reccomend uk sites and what they sell. I'd rather not deal with liquids straight away but from what I've seen you can get pre-filled cartriges and use liquids when more confident. I'd also like a reasonable timescale for how long a battery should last none of this six months when its actually two weeks nonsense. Oh and the same for atomizers (I haven't gone there yet but from what I understand these are the reasons why my batteries keep failing and life is better with a threepart) .

Oh and if it helps guide me I'm loving Strawberry flavours !

Some guidance really appreciated , sorry about my long post I think its a reflection on my confused state of mind

Thanks

Kirsty

Try here kristy. E-Liquid - E Juice - E Cig Liquid - Vg E Liquid - Ry4 A lot of our members deal with them in the US as well as the UK and generally get high marks. CCC is correct. Take 2minutes and learn to fill your cartos. It'll will open up a very large world of juices for you and make your vaping experience that much more fun.

Hello & welcome Kirsty from another UK member :)

Please make sure you have stopped any payment to the free trials - they are far from free & the biggest rip offs going :(

One of the best UK suppliers I've got to know is Vape escape & I've recommended their Riva kit to amny on my own UK e-cig forum - result being many happy vapers, their customer service is second to non -

The Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid use discount code allabout for 10% off & ask them to replce the atomisers with cartomisers. You will need to fill them with e-liquid, it really is easy & works out so much cheaper than buying pre-filled cartridges/cartomisers.

Thanks Chrissie , yeah I'm annoyed I did it now alarm bells were ringing, just glad I had the sense to use an account that I don't use so unless they bill me the minute I try to book a flight they won't get any money from me, might cancel the card just incase

One more vote for Liberty Flights UK. They have a subforum here and you can ask questions--they will be answered by their representatives or fellow ECF members.

Liberty Flights

Their prices are fair (click the 20% off for ECF members at the top left corner of the main page before you start carting stuff). Shipping is fast and inexpensive, customer service is good. I've been ordering my supplies from their US site for over a year--never had a problem.

Good luck.

Kirsty, do cancel the card if you can & even close the account down. I've known folks that have fallen for the free trials that have had one lot after the other of money taken from their accounts & it's been a battle to get their money back :(

We have so many good, honest suppliers in the UK, here's a list of some of the most popular ones -

ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK - Recommended & new suppliers (e-cig/juice sellers)

Katya, there is no 20% off tab on Liberty Flights UK site. They are a very good supplier, but not necessarily the best or cheapest in the UK :)

Thanks for sharing your story. I had a scare about a possible bad charger so I can relate to that particular fear.

I second the advice to get an Ego, and I'd also recommend some Boge 510 LR cartomizers. They're easy to use (disposable atomizer and cartridge all in one non-messy unit) and pretty inexpensive. I get really good vapor out of them.

Dear, the only way I was able to leave the fags behind entirely was after getting a real vaporizer. I bought a tank fed model, the eGo-C, and 20 liquids within 2 weeks. I also bought 10 extra tanks, 15 cartos, and a dual coil tank. I'm a crafty ....... and prone to mild DIY OCD so I went nuts. I'm glad I did but it sounds like you're looking for a simple way to go.
I was mixing fags and e-cigs for quite a while. I did, however, go from 25 a day to 3 a day.
I think once you go to a system that you can choose the liquids for that you will be quite satisfied.
The e-liquids are far more satisfying than pre-filled cartos. The Boge cartos I fill are just plain awesome.
Another tick in favor of the liquid vaporizers (eGo, etc.) is the throat hit and volume of vapor. Clouds of fluffy yummy vapor are one of the keys for me. The throat hit, once I experienced it on my eGo, is phenomenal! I found that with decent throat hit I was able to quit altogether. That was the missing link for me.

Best of luck to you. You can do it! :)
