Hey all and thanks for this great resource on vaping. I've been here non-stop since ordering my first mod. This week I have the following items arriving in the mail:

Innokin iTaste VTR
(2) Efest 18650 Li-ion batteries
Trust Fire TR-1 Charger
6 samples from Virgin Vapors...all 100% VG and 12mg nic level
(5) iClear 30s 2.1 ohm Coil Heads

So now that it is all coming in, what do I do with it?? Should I get anything else? I have watched numerous videos on Youtube but none of them seem to start with the absolute basics..

A couple of questions I have is:

How do I fill the clearomizers?
How do I try different e-juice flavors? Do I just use up whats in the tank, rinse and then try another flavor? I am wondering about the wicks...Do they just dry up when the juice runs out or do they need to be rinsed off?

Sorry for all the newb questions but I guess thats why Im here..
Thanks for the help!

It looks like you fill it from the bottom..I don't have wicks in any of my tanks,,So I can't help you with that part..But after each fill I clean my tank out, if I want to try a new one, I empty what is in the tank into another bottle, clean it all out and refill..I've heard that the tanks that have the wicks mixes with the prior juice flavor..Just what I was told...

With the iClear30 I have two dedicated tanks to two flavors, Since you have five i would just fill em up with 5 different flavors an go from there.

As for new juices when your running really low in the tank and you want to switch. Going all the way to 1.0ml and then emptying the fluid and swapping never hurt me, With the leftover juice in the wicks it will have a little mixed flavor but it will be vaped out after a few drags and the new flavor put in will take over.

with the Rotating Drip tips all you have to do is take off the tip by screwing it off and if you have a needle tip insert it in and fill to the 3.0ml line, if not just be careful not to fill through the nipple.

I like the Nitecore Intellicharger. It is cheap and decent. We will let others comment on the charger you got.

Is that 5 clearomizers or 5 replacement heads? You should have a couple of the same tank and replacement heads. At least three. 25 would be better.

You are probably going to want more juice. I would go to MtBakerVapor and order some Cinnamon Roll and Moo Juice. You need the flavors coming in to make sure you like something. Some flavors take a month of shaking or storage before they become their best. I liked their Dream Bar too. Flavor is the hardest part. Others might suggest others. MtBakerVapor is cheap and fast. Remember that.

To try different juices you clean the tank and then reload, or use another tank that is ready to go.

As a personal rule, you will probably spend two months worth of your previous cig habit getting your equipment for vaping. I spent over $300 per month on cigs, so for me that is $600 worth of "stuff". I didn't spend near that much. But I have 15 of the same tank and a boatload of replacement coils.

I like about 3 flavors right now. I have 3 tanks with those flavors in them. It makes it kinda easy.

I smoked 2.5 PAD. There is no way I could have stopped with a 650 mAhr twist battery with a CE4 for $27.52 and 15 ml of juice that tasted like "cigarettes". It is a question of scale. It is a question of redundancy.

Your get your VTR and it is beautiful. It vapes as shown on a YouTube video. It is the greatest thing since slice white bread. And then it doesn't work anymore. What do you do now? What is plan B?

I have one MVP2, 2 x Vamo V5's, three twisty things (they work great), a slew of tanks and replacement coils, 8 x 18yyy eFest batteries. A ton of different juices.

Get jiuces coming to you. I might get another battery in case one that you get fails. One battery isn't enough. No single point of failure.

I really like the idea of the MVP2. But they can fail too and then the whole thing is garbage. I have one. It is good value.

I got Vamo tubes. They cost $32. They use the same batteries that you have. So your choice of a replaceable battery and the charger (that you already spent) is money well spent. Everything breaks.

A buddy of mine has the eVic by Joytech or something like that and it is snazzy. It worked good.

You need more then one. Of everything. Or you are back on the analogs.

While I don't agree with TheReign about blending in flavors when changing flavors with all due respect, I would like to point out that the iClears fill from the TOP by unscrewing the drip tip.

From what I remember (not much), the wicks and coil are removed by removing the bottom so you can clean them.

If I am trying a flavor that sucks, I generally try to add something to make it better. It never does. Then I add another flavor and then I am confident that I can pour it out without regrets.

Just a quick update. Got my VTR, batteries and tru fire charger in the mail today. Looks awesome but I have had no time to open it and fiddle around. After reading some threads about chargers I decided to order a Xtar VP1 and 2 panasonic NCR18650B batteries. 3400mah 3.7v so I hope they are sufficient. The tru fire charger reviews are a bit worrisome to me because I will be charging while at work and I really don't want to burn the house down. Just gonna get the right stuff the first, or second, time and hopefully just worry about which juice to try next.

I also ordered two more i30s clearomizers so I can have a few in rotation.

Thanks again for all the help and the warm welcome. This place rocks!
