Well, I did my initiation stint in the newbie forum, and now I am here to bother the pros. I just have a couple more questions, and then I will move on...

I started with the Boge cartos on a Kgo 1100mah, but quickly learned that I (or my throat rather) cannot tolerate the filling which honestly I had the same kind of thing, although not quite so strong, on my ecig. I guess that's the 3.7v.

Now, I have now switched to the Stardusts--the 2.1-2.4 ohm (LR) or thereabouts--which I like but I am finding is not consistent. First, the flavor is terribly muted but okay--mostly the flavor is experienced on the exhale. But as I go further into the day, it just goes to what I can only describe as vaping pepper. Horrible! No flavor--it is just like I took a bowl of pepper and inhaled it through my mouth. The juice I am using is Mt. Baker Bananas Gone Wild at 70pg/30 mix. Sometimes I will get a vague flavor of the liquid on my tongue on the inhale, but then I can quickly taste the change to the pepper experience starting up and then straight pepper on the exhale. Is this considered burning?

Is there something wrong with the Stardust? Is it the ohms that I am using? I am always keeping the wicks wet so no problem there. Is it the PG in the juice? Is it the nicotine level of 12mg that I am experiencing? I am definitely cutting down on the nicotine to 6 as well as the PG to almost VG or straight VG, as throat hit is not an important element to me. Is it all of the above? I am going to change the liquid mix and also the Stardust to a SR, but I thought some feedback would help before I order.

It really is hard to explain the exact experience. What I need is a vaper angel sitting next to me so I can hand it to them and say "see what I mean!" But until they appear, your thoughts would be so appreciated. As hard as the experience has been it sure keeps me off the cigs--oops--analogs. Probably trying to figure out this conumdrum keeps me too busy to miss the analogs...Valerie

Hi - I do know what you're talking about, but I don't have an answer. I use Stardusts (& clones) often and they can be very inconsistent; one drag fine, the next like pepper. I don't know why. I use them anyway, but I'm stubborn like that ;) I also agree that the flavor can be muted. I mostly use carto tanks, but use clearos to (somewhat) try new juices. If you like the clearo type(ish) style, you might want to try a vivi mini nova (I have those and find the taste muted, but it has lots of fanboys) or a Kanger.

Anybody out there? Okay, I am so not having this kind of experience :vapor: There's gotta be someone out there who knows what I am talking about...

Sorry not a pro, sure someone will come on soon. I'll bump it up for you- have heard a lot of complaints about star dusts with muted favor. I love my Ce3 's. bottom coil, so no burned taste or leaking. Great flavor and I use mostly vg. Good luck!

The vivi needs to be tipped, like the Stardust-types, and since it has wicks high vg can be an issue. I think the flavor is muted, but I have them and use them anyway. Lots of folks really love them. The Kanger T3 has become very popular lately, but I've never tried one. I got a Kanger, but I ended up ordering the wrong model.

I started with CE4's (I think, they weren't labeled). Flavor was very muted, and they were very inconsistent even with lots of tilting and swirling. I went with the Kanger MT3's, got them on Monday and I al loving them. There is a very long thread in the clearomizer forum about them. There do need a bit of tinkering. There is a silicone cap on the wicks, I followed the tip about flipping that upside down, and don't tighten down really tight. I am loving this thing! Great flavor, hits great. Extremely easy to clean too. The CE4 was a royal pain, the T3 unscrews at the bottom and is so simple.

No, variable battery...just straight Kgo 1100mah. I thought the CE's were the stardusts. I've read so much--I'm inundated with info and hard to keep everything straight. I know I did come across the bottom coiled CE today on a vendor's site and had read about it many moons ago on the forum. I will look into that again. Would I be able to use VG liquid in the CE4 bottom coil tank?

I did read somewhere here that Kanger and the viva nova did not work really well on the Kgo 1100mah. I will keep checking back here to see if anyone has more ideas.

thanks for all your responses. So glad to know I am not the only one with the peppery feeling.

Tajji's mom--do you buy here in US? I saw them today and now I cannot remember where. I was searching through many sites. This sounds like something I should try since I am going to switch to VG to get that throat hit down. I also get itchy face and just not a good feeling after using PG/VG mix for long periods of time. thanks so much for your input.

No I bought them here in Canada, but found them through Got Vapes you tube review. They are also called Phoenix bottom coil clearomizer. You get 5/pk, 1 rubber drip tip and 1 syringe and blunt tip needle. You fill them with syringe, super easy- dont like the flavor, syringe water through it, blow it out and refill. They last a long time and work great with vg juices with amazing flavor. No leaking, no heads to change- no dry burning-holds 1.5ml-nothing else comes close to this yet. Just got a kanger t3 because it holds more-leaks- you have to change head on it too, so still looking for one that holds more, so I just keep a bunch of these filled and I'm happy

yay!!!! I will definitely try these. I wondered why I could not find them. I did see Phoenix somewhere today, but I will look at Got Vapes--could be where I was today. The only thing I do not like is the rubber tip. Honestly, I can taste the rubber. I hope I can find an adapter, or if the ego adapter will convert it so I can use my metal tip. Thanks so much. I will give a review back after I try them. Anything is better than this Stardust. Good idea and I can see how people like them, but I don't know why I am having such an adverse reaction to them.

Thanks again for all your great responses.

No problem! You should be able to use your own drip tip. I don't have a metal one, but my plastic one fits snug. The one that comes with is tasteless. I like it because its soft, but wish I could twist it on so I'm not afraid I'll lose it. Let me know how you make out

The CE4's have the coil at the top
Mountain Oak Vapors | Bauway Ego Style CE4 "Clearomizer" - 2.6ohm
Like this.

The kanger T3's and MT3's are bottom coil
Kanger MT3 Rebuildable Clearomizer - Blue
Like this.

This is all really confusing isn't it? I have been reading every night for almost a month trying to get it all figured out.

YES YES YES I am bleary eyed with reading and reading and searching and reading---links and reading. OMG I am just trying to find this spot where I am having a pleasant experience rather than just tolerating--because the tolerating will not last very long. I am going to try the Kanger bottom coil clearo and the Pheonix bottom coil cartomizers. I am hoping they will work with the Kgo 1100 mah--not variable. I wish now I had gotten a VV. There seems to be a lot more choices for the VV. If I find a decent carto or clearo I may upgrade later. But for now I would just like to have a smooth and flavorful vape.

I should have asked before, but which are you using 2.4 - 2.6 or 2.6 - 2.8 ohms. I am assuming you have the 2.4 - 2.6. I am hoping these will work on the kgo 1100mah. my stardust is a 2.1 - 2.4. See, now my stardust is working perfectly. I find it works better when only 1/2 full, but I am still going to try a box of these.

It says 2.6-2.8 and I use it on my ego mini, but I'm sure the lower would be fine too. That's all Canvape sells. I rinse them out when i first get them too
