Newbie with dead taste buds..

I actually made the trip to Sand Springs today! Have you yet? They were super cool, and let me try some samples. I bought some tank cartridges for my TW tornado. They just got the Ego tank brand e cigs in.
About the flavors...I couldn't even SMELL the samples, and tasted nothing. I did buy the cloves flavor because at least there was a tingling on my tongue. But, since I haven't opened the bottle I am going to try to trade it back for the cheesecake sample I tried. The cloves taste like mold, and I taste a TINY bit of sweetness on cheesecake.
I am psyched to be able to physically check out all the models vapor kings sells. I never thought the 901s were so tiny! And they have great mods, too. But if you order on-line you get 10% off. You click that you'll pick it up, and, voila!, I have saved shipping charges!

I am just not able to taste any of the liquids I have tried. I have bottles from Tot. Wicked, vaperenu, from whom I even ordered the triple shot of flavor, and the flavor enhancer, and others. I go for the 18 to 36 mg strength, and order fruits and tobaccos.
Yesterday I got some orange LorAnn flavor and added it to my pineapple. It smells very strong, but, again, no taste. I read somewhere here about a member recommending some sweetener to add. Would that help? I wonder if I should try one more time to order a pre-mixed liquid that has more body, like a chocolate, nutty, cappucino, or other more heavy/creamy/sweet flavor. Is there another brand, type of flavoring I can add to my tasteless stuff I already have?
TG getting fed up with this, but desperate to make the switch. I have a tornado tank and love it otherwise. Please recommend away, as many brands of juice, flavorings, types of flavors, anything at all. I promise I will look into everything.

Don't have time to read this entire thread again, but keep in mind that smoking ruins your taste buds, etc. After you quit smoking, your body (and taste buds) will begin the healing process, which can take a long time. I have faith that you'll be able to taste the liquids much better after your taste buds heal. You'll be able to smell much better, too.

If you want to try to tinker with the juices you already have so they are vapeable, PureVapes sells Flavour Art Flavouring samples for $1.50. I have tried the Irish Cream flavoring and it is insanely potent! It tastes like Hot Cocoa mixed with Baileys Irish Cream and it's flavor is delicious!!

You might just have to add a few more drops of flavorings to the juices you order so they are more tasty to you.

Hey, what's your "little chuck?"
I have now checked out TV and am awaiting an email answering a very long-assed inqury. So, thanks for your advice! They offer sweetening, maybe that will help.
I kinda hate mints, menthols and strong cinnamony flavors, but may have to try them until the tastybuds wake up.

My PV is called a "little chuck". Thag Built (THAGBuilt.com) sells either a "chuck" or a "little chuck". A little chuck is a PV that only supports a 3.7v battery (1200mAh battery or 12 hour battery).

I started out no taste due to quitting smoking, then for the first time in my life I got an allergy, not sure to what, my taste and smell went away, the medicines really did a number. Here is what I did:

I buy the following:

2 bottles of atomic fireball from various vendors, I got mine from DFW Vapors.
1 bottle of cinnamon death from elixir liquids.com

If my taste buds and smell are really bad, I mix 1 bottle Atomic with 1 bottle Cinnamon Death. This is really strong (sometimes)

If I can taste the Atomic by itself, I mix all three bottles.

If you can not taste Atomic on it's own at all, try the Cinnamon Death by it's self, be warned, a normal tasting person with Cinnamon Death only, will NOT be happy, unless they are crazy like me.

Also, if menthol is your thing, the menthol drops at elixir are crazy strong as well.

Nice to find people from local area I live in Sapulpa (south from Sand Springs). Vaper Kings people aren't cool? I love that store.

Have you thought about changing atty? try to use cartomizers or just normal atty with drip? I know many people love tanks. but for me I thought tank was making taste weaker than dripping or using dual coil cartomizers.

I am still newbie myself but if you come to Sapulpa, I can share my juice that I mix. if you like any of them I can show you what I use or how. that way you don't have to waste time and money for buying juice that doesn't work for you.

I already smell better! I don't smell like smoke! Hoping my sense of smell will continue to improve too!

Something that hasn't been mentioned here is you need to drink plenty of water. When I started vaping I was chain vaping. Couldn't get enough and then my taste buds pooped out. I hear this is common when first starting and will return in time but drinking much more water helped a lot.
