I started out with the 510 mega kit, couldn't get enough battery life. Bought an Ego system with the 650 battery and jjust recently added a 900 battery.

I got tired of filling the cartridges numerous times so I went with the 510 cartomizers and then the 510 mega cartomizers.

My question is what atomizers or cartomizers should I be using with the 650 and the 900 batteries?

It seems that I am always getting a burnt taste when I vape. I am really getting quite peeved about this!

Do the bigger batteries burn hotter and therefore require a different atomizer or cartomizer?

Thanks for all of your help with this!

Yes the bigger batteries run a bit hotter, some say 3.4v vs 3.2v for slim 510 (when freshly charged they are each a bit higher voltage than what I listed)

And if you bought an ego kit, it might have come with LR (low resistance) atomizers or cartomizers which run much hotter and can only be used on the 450mah+ batteries. But you don't have to use LR stuff on the big batteries. You can use standard resistance. I use Boge cartos (standard resistance) on 510, and on Riva 750mah (an Ego clone) the standard res carto just gives a somewhat warmer bigger hit.

If you are running cartos dry then yes, the fatter battery will have slightly more chance of singeing the stuffing. I don't run cartos dry. When the vapor seems a bit light or a bit dry or the carto seems to be abnormally warm, I add eliquid.

And I don't know if this would work for you, but what I do is vape the slim ones and bring the charged fat battery along with me. When i want some bigger hits, I use the Riva for a while. When i think I've had enough bigger drags I switch the standard res carto back to the slim battery. So my slim batteries last longer because I am not using them all the time, and if I run out of slim battery power then I have the fat one as a backup. When I get home there is a 510 mega waiting charged. So basically I vape the slim ones and use the Riva as a backup and booster.

I have a Tornado (eGo). I use a LR carto with a drip tip inserted instead of using the soft cap that comes with the cartos. I get great vapor and I like the warmth also.
I also use standard cartos on my slim batts with the soft cap. I am a heavy vaper and only have to redrip my cartos a couple times a day. I find that the cartos work much better for me than the carts.

I am using LR mega ( cylinder ) atomizers and mega cartridges. ( both type B )

It isn’t perfect... but it is very controllable... I do end up topping off my cartridges often, but the consistency of flavor and amount of vapor produced is quite nice. it does have a tendency to leak sometimes, like I said... nothing is perfect... but this setup is working for me.
