Hi i have been browsing these forums for a little while and have decided an e-cigarette is for me.

I smoke about 15 analogs a day and have been smoking for five years so i decided that the best option for me is to get the Riva 510 from Liberty Flights?

I do have some small questions though as follows.

What ejuice should i get (only want to get from Liberty Flights) that would be similar to a normal cigarette.

What does the mg of nicotine equate to my normal pack of analogs which are 0.8 nicotine content? (8mg,14mg,18mg and 24mg.

What extras should i buy with my starter kit if it all?

Thank you for reading and helping a new guy out it is much appreciated

Hi I'm a newbie too but, I've been at it longer than you. That Liberty flights kit looks to be a winner. I'm thinking about buying one for my sister in-law. Get some extra atomizers and a pack of cartridges at least. Liberty Flights has an eGo case I'm thinking of buying. You might consider it.

The juice is a lot more subjective. I believe 8mg is equivalent to 0.8 in nic strength but, cigarettes have other ingredients that make that comparison a little unfair. Buy the smaller bottles at first and get a few flavors. Also, I've been going through a period where my nic needs bounce a bit. It would be best to get high strength and low strength in the same flavor. Then you can dilute to find your sweet spot. Till you find it, you will on occasion get too much or too little nicotine. It's part of getting used to these things. Happily, it looks like I'm getting through that. If you like a throat hit, go with mostly PG juices. You want more vapor look at VG. A 70/30 PG/VG mix is very popular on here.

Good advice so far, I'd also say get smaller bottles of several different flavors until you find some a few your happy with rather than buying a big bottle of something you may not like. Juice is very subjective and no one can tell you what flavor from where is going to do it for you.

I'd say the same for the mg level, get several different levels until you decide what works for you. You really can't equate vaping to levels per cigarette. Nic levels in liquid are measured per ml. So in theory using your 0.8 per cig level if you vaped 1 ml of 24mg per day would equal 30 cigs a day but it's not. Nic is absorbed by the body differently in vaping and your getting less of a percentage of that nic and the actual percentage is still up for grabs and different for everyone as alot of other factors come into play. The number I've seen thrown around most is somewhere in the 40% range. So the best advice is just to get different levels at first and go from there. For me personally 24mg goes it but everyones different.

I'm still a relative n00b myself when it comes to vaping, but I can tell you the Riva from Liberty Flights is a great choice. I started out with a cig-style 510 and was entirely dissatisfied with it, although many are. The Riva is what turned me into a full time vaper.

As for juices, it's just a matter of trial and error. I typically don't prefer the tobacco flavors, but I can tell you that I love RY4. Good luck!

+1 for buying multiple small bottles of different flavor juice

You're not really going to find something with a flavor just like an analog, some tobacco flavors are good, they just don't really taste like tobacco, IMO. I have also never vaped liberty flights flavors.

@15 analogs a day @ 0.8 mg of nicotine = 12 mg/day nicotine. So if you vaped 1ml a day (20 drops), 12mg/ml ejuice would equal your previous habit. But you may not end up vaping 1ml a day, could be less, could be more.

Like others have said, you'll probably need to adjust the level up or down. I vape 18 which is a bit much for me, I'm going to reduce next time I order.

Nic entry into your body isn't exactly the same with vaping as smoking (analogs have other chemicals that speed up the absorption) so a higher level than 12 might be best to start with, to keep you from going back to analogs. It is kinda subjective. If you end up vaping more than you smoked, you'll probably end up lowering the nic level at some point.
