Hello all I'm new to vaping. I picked up an itaste Vv and an aspire glass clearomizer. I like the cinnamon roll and bananas foster I got from Mt. Baker but after the first tank full I can't taste any difference between them and neither taste good any more. I've changed the coil but to no avail. Its a 1.9 ohm I'm running between 3.5 volt at 9 watt, and 3.7 v at 11 watt.
I've also got a kanger evod2 but just set it aside as the vape from my aspire is better for me.

Any thoughts on the taste issue I'm having?

Is it that you don't like the taste of either or that neither tastes like much of anything? Reason I ask is there is a common temporary phenomenon we call "vaper's tongue" that you may be experiencing if your juices just don't tast like anything anymore. If this is the case have heart, it passes and your juices will taste great again.

Common remedies are to take long inhales through the nose of something strong smelling like coffee beans and to use mouthwash and such for your mouth/tongue. It will get better and is common with new vapers.

If vaper's tongue isn't the case you could be just be getting past the honeymoon with your those particular juices, happens to all of us. Put them in a nice cool dark spot or drawer and come back to them later. Many juices changes over time, some are great right away and others need to steep so don't just chuck them right away if you don't like them at that moment.

Good luck!

yup, that sounds like vapors tongue.

Change up what you are vaping, if you vape sweet, go to a cinnamon or menthol (depending which one you can stand the best). Drink lots of water and stay hydrated. Drink something that contrast the flavor, for example I drink lots of coffee during the day and vape fruits a lot. Brush your teeth and tongue, good hygiene helps.

This condition will last for a short duration while your taste buds regrown and relearn. In time it will pass and you won't experience it as much. I noticed it a lot after I quit smoking and went 100% vaping and probably lasted 2-3 weeks. Changing liquid vendors also helped. MBV to me always had the same base flavor with a hint of what it was suppose to be like, even after steep it for weeks.

If you are not steeping MBV juice, this is where you might have went wrong as well.

Thanks guys. Another thing working against me is that I've lost about 85% of my ability to smell. At first the flavors were very prominent now just kinda wax flavored. I quit smoking 7 years ago but started chewing shortly after. Probably vape tongue then.

Hmm no chewing is a different animal I imagine I am one of those guys that have done it all and I noticed with chew my taste went away also I think your senses need time to adjust to this are these top notch liquids your vaping or are they house juices from the local b&m?

Lorann cherry alone? Whoa... that must have been intense.

I find that lots of water, smelling coffee beans, and using Listerine works wonders but I'll try to find an extra tongue to have on hand just in case...lol.

Changing things up might help. Brushing your teeth might help also.

Your taste buds will come around slowly. I vape different flavors when I cant taste something.
Trying unflavored VG might help cleanse your pallet. Since you vape cinnamon maybe try something peppermint?

On your next order try an extra flavor shot.

I have been vaping for a year now and Vapors tongue comes and goes. Good luck!

I bet, I don't think I'll be playing that home game anytime soon but you win todays award for sure!

The only good thing about vape tongue, if there is a good thing, is that you can finally use all that juice you hate because you can't taste it anyway!

This is a little off topic, but you can only run in VV or VW not both. For example your coil is 1.9 ohms at 3.5v which puts you at 6.45w. At 3.7v your at 7.21w. Whatever more you choose last on your device is which mode you will be running in. If you chose VW last at 9w you would be at 4.14v and 11w would put you at 4.57v. Hope this helps clear this up for you. When I started with VV/VW I wasn't sure at first either.

And yes sounds like vapors tongue. Not fun but will stop eventually. Drink lots of water/fluids while vaping and that will help prevent it.
