I'm a n00b here too. I've been trying to quit smoking (honestly) since the new year. I've found that the problem with other nicotine replacements, gum, mints, patches, etc is that I have the same impulse problem with them that I do with analogs.
Let me say I'm a heavy smoker, 3+ packs a day. When I quit in Jan, it was on the patch and gum together, and that worked out okay - until I slipped and started using analogs again - and still continued to use the gum and mints while burning through 2-3 packs a day. So what I've actually managed to do is increase my nicotine levels while trying to quit.
After reading the reviews for news, it came down to the 510 or the eGo. I decided to drop a few more bucks on the ego. I also ordered a few different flavors of ejuice, I hope I didn't guess wrong on the nicotine levels at 36mg, but even if I'm wrong I figure it's easier to cut that than bump it up.
