Hey Guys,

I'm 32 and live in the UK. I have been a smoker since the age of 15 but have managed to curb that and am now proud to say that i have now been vaping for 3 months solid (6 months in total but 3 months without hitch).

My tool of preference is a totally wicked 510 titan but to be honest with you its not really hitting the spot and have found myself thinking about going back to combustable smoking again.:(

I'm thinking i need to get a new delivery system, i'm liking the reo's and the ali'i.

Anyone have any help or suggestions????:p

Welcome to the forum. My advice would be to read, read, and read more. Then wait for a couple months before deciding. LOTS of new mods coming out in the next couple months.

Hi marcbadcock! Welcome to the ECF! Well done on being analog free for 3 months. You pulled that off quicker than I did. I vaped for 6 months before I went without analogs....now its been 4 months since my last cigarette.

My first question would be how much do you think you vape...as in ml/day? Its something to think about as there are a couple sizes of REO's.

The Ali'i and the Wood REO are the best pair for comparison....they both use the 18650 protected battery and have 6ml bottle. This setup would last someone like me like 4 days. I only vape about 1.5 ml/day on average. The differences? The body design....the Ali'i is rounded where the REO is more box shaped. The REO has thicker walls, and for me, I worry less about dropping it, than I would the Ali'i.

The REO Grand is the next closest animal, but its all aluminum and all mechanical (no wires). Much more durable in my opinion. It uses the same battery and has the same bottle size.

The Mini REO doesn't compare as its the same as the Grand....but smaller. It carries 3ml of juice and runs on a 14500 protected or HD safe chem battery.

Here are pictures of the Ali'i and its brother the Journeyman, and the three REOs.

Anyway....I hope this gives you some more to think about...lol. Like you need that. Keep hanging in there! Regardless of your choice, its a much different vape, but deffinately worth it. I hope this finds you well!! :)

*edit....I use the mini REO in case you were wondering. :) 011.jpg

As far as ml a day goes, i would think i'm about the same 1.5ml per day.

I have been looking closley at both the reo and the ali'i, for me the reo tips it in looks, i get strangley excited when i see a picture of the all brushed aliminium reo models LOL. As for reliability and build quality, well , i think i need to get reading. As it stands now, the mini reo would probably last me two days on the 3ml bottle and being that on occasion i have been known to be a little bit clumsy, maybe the all aliminium body would suit me better. I wouldnt of thought the ali would be as forgiving as the reo, if you dropped it.

Please don't go back to the analogs especially since you've been doing so well :) I agree that there are some exciting new things coming this year, but the REO will always have a place because it's the most consistent juice mod I own. Good luck and feel free to post any more questions you have :)

I strongly disagree with you "waiting" till later to get you a higher voltage mod or self juicer. There are some great ones out there now and you waiting, could bring on the urge to seek out analogs again.
Read reviews and go ahead with a higher voltage mod. Lots of good ones out there at the present.

Glad to have you here and happy vaping!

Eh Up Marc

Sounds like you've hit the wall.I think we all come across it at some point, you definately need a new toy !! Don't hang about if you don't need to....especially when there's great 'mods' available in the UK ! THE PHIDIAS

The Phidias is good too....the wood work is phenominal! It runs on the same battery size as the Ali'i, Wood REO, and REO Grand. It carrys a 3ml juice bottle. Here is a picture of the Phidias.

I see your point and that's what I thought too. No one really notices...well as far as I have observed. I have the mini and its small enough my hand nearly encompasses it so its not really visible. Now as far as the other mods like the Ali'i, Phidias, Wood REO and REO Grand are concerned, that would be a different story for me as my hands are small so I would probably atract more attention that way. But then I also am one of those dorks that doesn't try to hide it....I want to be approached and asked about it.

How do you pump the juice into the cart?

With all of these...there is either button or hole to squeeze on the bottle that is directly below an atomizer (or cartomizer if you prefer). The juice is fed by a tube. Looking from the top, you will see juice peek out of the bottom of the atomizer and that is when you stop squeezing. At this point, you activate the switch and vape. Here are a few pictures to help show....

I hope this helps.

Wow that REO is real nice. I would chain vape like crazy using that thing. I could only use it at home as I can't imagine walking down the street with it or sitting outside starbucks vaping on it. I've got my Ego for that.

I take my Reo mini and grand everywhere. If people ask it's usually to try it out and not because they are scared. It's a great way to preach to the analog users the wonders of vaping :)

The right combination of PV and juice finally got me over the "hump". The kr 808s weren't cutting it, only taking the edge off, and the constant battery changing was a nuisance. I got a Silver Bullet, then built a varivolt box mod, along with some 555 and Boba's, and now I'm sneaking up on week 3 of analog free. It takes a little trial and error to find what's best for YOU, not everyone else. Keep experimenting.
