hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I've had my ecig for a week now and i couldn't be happier with it! I'm still smoking 1 or 2 analogs a day, but it's far from the pack and a half to two that i had been smoking. i had tried to quit cold turkey a couple times before, and once with the patch, but never had any luck so i am unbelievably happy to have discovered this alternative. also, I' a singer/songwriter, and analogs have done some pretty decent damage to my vocal control over the years. It may just be optimism, but I'm convinced I'm starting to get some of it back already!! The only issue I've had is a little nausea when i smoke on an empty stomach, but the new e liquid i just ordered is vg so hopefully that will help. Has anyone else had that problem?

Thanks ancient! And congrats on getting your singing voice back womanofheart, I really hope that's what's happening because I've stopped performing as I'm scared of what horrible sounds could happen, but i really miss it! and thanks for the heads up on the nic content. The carts I got are i think 24 mg, and the stuff i just ordered is 18mg so if that doesn't help maybe I'll get some 0mg and switch back and forth.

Welcome to the forum. I didn't get sick but all my friends want me to start smoking again and I think you hit on the reason. I got my singing voice back. The problem is I couldn't sing before I lost it. This is a great forum with allot of wonderful people that are eager to help in any way they can so if the occasion arises, just ask and you will get your answers.

that's exciting news! and I've actually been drinking more water......the e cigs have had that effect on me where when you do one thing that's good for you you start doing other things too, so i've been eating better and drinking only water and even did a little yoga a couple times this week!! yeah!! lol

thanks for the welcome mudder :)

as others have already said, nausea is often related to too much nic, try cutting the nic level... Or some people find they dont get enough kick off low nic, Upping the nic level may in fact make you vape less and in a roundabout way you actually cut your intake...

Drink water / fluids for the voice...

Cant really add much more getting my post count up so i can post somewhere else :p

Hi Kaylin and welcome to ECF, lots of folks have had different reactions to e-cigs, and some have none. Everyone is different, some get dry skin, vaping seems to dehydrate you, drink a lot of water, others get a little nausea from getting used to the juice, maybe its too strong, try differnent levels, 24mg, 16, 10 etc Or you may be trying to smoke as often and the analogs, take it slow and it will work for you and eventually you will stop the analogs all together.
