hey all, I'm new to the forum but not really new to e-cigs.. i started with the e-cig about a year ago and had the E-go starter kit and quickly upgraded to the Vision spinner batteries. Stopped using the e-cig after a couple months and backslid to smoking again..

I have 2 kids and hate smelling like smoke and spending umpteen hundreds of dollars a year on smokes.. plus all the health issues.

My question is, in the last year a lot has changed with e-cigs, and i feel lost again. is there a place where i can find a beginner's guide?

also I like variable voltage that i had before and the tank i last used was a kanger (i think) bottom feed tank.. and I really want to get some better gear. What would y'all suggest?

Is there a better place to get them than my local vape shop? Ecigcharleston?

Thanks to the forum host for this forum and to anyone who happens along this post for their advice.

Mike.

I did the same thing you did, slid back onto smokes. Rocky Mountain Vapor and Mt Baker Vapor are really good sites to get some new equipment at a "starter level." The twist batteries are good, really anthing that lets you bypass the EGo blister pack. I have had good luck with the Nova top feed tanks over the Kanger bottom feeds.

Thanks for all the advice so fast. I'm still google-ing all the different stuff y'all are mentioning..

itskohler- All i can remember about the vv battery i had was that it was a vision 1300MaH.

I like variable voltage because first thing in the morning I can dial it down and its not so harsh on me. Then by lunchtime i'm in a cloud of water vapor lol. As for goals with vaping, i enjoy the different flavors and getting rid of the "analogs". I use it at work, where i cut meat and using a lanyard it tends to get kinda beat up (i've gone through more than one tank) so durability is high on my list of prereq's

Second on the innokin VV3 and MVP. You can get one of each for ~$70 total if you hit the sales and you will have a solid VV/VW one two punch. The VV3 is an 800Mah stick that is easy to carry and the MVP has a battery life that last days. They both give a super smooth vape.

PT3's and Arotanks are the darlings of the bottom feeder world lately it seems although I don't use them.

You may take a look at the Itaste VV v3 and the MVP 2. I own both and run the protank 2 mini's on them.

That's what I usually run. MVP 2, mini protank 2, with 1.6 ohm rebuilt coils with organic cotton wicking. Even with the stock coils it was an amazing setup, now with the rebuilds, it's even better!

If you don't mind the larger form factor, the MVP 2.0 is the way to go. You can order it for under $60 if you look around.

For a topper I would look at the protank II or, if you decide to stick with the v3, miniprotank II--single coil is cheaper to replace and easier to tweak. The other option is to get into carto tanks like IBTanked which will run you more but probably be less hassle.

Welcome Mike to ecf. So glad you are here. Here is a article I read that explained VV that might be helpful. Taking The Mystery Out Of Variable Wattage - Spinfuel Magazine I have a mvp2 and it does have a fantastic battery life. There are so many options now that it all very confusing. Seems like I learn something new everyday. (that is not a bad thing). Good luck to you in your vaping journey and I look forward to reading future posts.

I changed my mind on the vv v3 and opted for the MVP 2.0 and a kanger Aerotank.

I'm going to vape it forward with one of my "mystart revolver" batts and give it to my boss. I put ecigcharleston's "charleston summer" and banana strawberry in a tank and he vaped it all day today.

Also waiting for my Vape-box invitation to come into my email so i can hop on that.

Now i need to find some REALLY nice E-liquids with a lot of flavor.
Ecigcharleston has a lot of flavors but they just don't pack that "punch" i'm looking for *aside from their cinnamon which is really overpowering ( i don't care for cinnamon anyway)

If anyone knows where I can get some good flavors i would be thankful for it..

I don't like tobacco flavors
I do like Menthol flavors
I don't like most dessert flavors (i.e. muffins, cola's etc.)
I really do like fruit flavors..

thanks in advance!
