So I have been vaping with an e-cig I bought for $5 free shipping from a Chinese wholesale site. Believe me, I love this site and have used it hundreds of times for small items of all sorts. Using this e-cig I was able to slowly quit smoking after approximately 12 years of heavy cigarette smoking. I have a surplus of pre-filled carts and 5 bottles of e-liquid from using these cigs. I actually have a couple from there so I could have more than one charged at a time.

Well, had some embarassing regular smoking slips and want to step up from my e-cig to one more suited to my heavy vaping needs. I have read the beginner's guide two to three times and a bunch of model reviews but have not been able to filter out all the nonsense I've found. There are just too many options. I was hoping the people on this forum may be able to sum up which models will fit a few requirements.

Things I want in my new e-cig;

Button Activated = I would like my new e-cig to be manual rather than auto. I had used a disposable e-cig before that was manual and really enjoyed holding it down a few seconds before inhaling.

Tank style refill = I would like to take my e-liquid bottles, and squeeze the liquid into a a tank rather than having to drip it into a tiny cartridge with a syringe. Its no fun.

Longer battery life = My current ones only last a few hours if that.

I had seen the ego-T and thought that might be a good style but would like some feedback. Also, after combing through some forum suppliers and getting really search overloaded, if you could post a good place to buy the e-cig you recommend would be great.

Thanks a lot everyone, and sorry to make my first post sound so needy. Cheers!

Hello & welcome Cyclin :)

I've read mixed reviews about the ego t. However, I think either a standard ego or Riva would suite you along with some cartomisers - they hold more juice than carts :) I'm in the Uk, so will leave it to the many lovely US members to give you links to the best deals :D

Thanks for the replies so quickly! Well, I took your advice and got the ego-T kit on GoodProphets. Used the TVCfriend 5% off coupon code so adding the priority shipping only added a dollar. Now just to wait the 2-3 days until it arrives. I really hope this one will be what I am looking for and am pretty sure it will be. I especially like that you can charge and vape at the same time. Not being able to has almost had me buying a pack of cigarettes on many occasions. Too many close calls!

Thanks again!

I have an Joye eGo-T. I got it last Wednesday and I love it! However I am using my Blu carts in it because the only bottle of liquid I got with it was horrible so I am waiting on 2 different juice orders to come sometime hopefully this week! I hope you like yours. I personally love the fact that even heavy vaping mine lasts over 8 hours on one charge and the tanks are super easy to fill and clean! The atomizer I'm not sure about cause I have taken it apart yet to clean!

If you get the Ego T I also recommend

1 - a normal 510 atomizer and 510 drip tip for trying juices and vaping thick or occasional juices

2 - some Boge cartomizers - the 3 ohm are barely warm on Ego and easier to learn on, the 2 ohm at hotter and most popular on Ego - these are basic simple cartomizer. No syringe - just use suitable juice (thin and preferable clear, I use 80PG/20Vg and 90PG/10VG or 100% PG works). Use a cartomizer when you have a flavor that eats plastic (cinnamon), any clingy flavor you do not want hanging around in your atomizer (like cloves, any strong spicy flavor, etc), and if you know how to use them you will always have a backup way to vape if you have atomizer problems. There are fancier cartos, more exotic cartos, more expensive cartos, but Boge are most popular and they just work.

And I recommend only Joye or Janty brand for the Ego-T so you know you are getting good quality and not a random clone (some clones are good and some are not).

So I got my ego-T yesterday and it is awesome. It is working so much better than my other e-cigs. I especially like the tank filling system over the cartridges. So far I have only tried two of my flavors, the first actually tasted better than in my old PV and the second was roughly the same. Thanks for all the advice everybody!

Ya I was thinking about getting some spare atomizers for use with smaller amounts of liquid. Having the tank that holds so much is one of the main reasons for getting this model, as there are a few flavors I regularly vape 2-4 days in a row. However, I have a bunch of new flavors that I'm waiting to get delivered and I need one that holds closer to a half hour of liquid so I can try new mixes out. For now I'll probably just test flavors I'm not totally sure about on the smaller, cheapo e-cigs I have.

I got the envy ego tank after finding out it was made by joyetech, and... It was the cheapest route. Came with a 1000maH and a 650mah. It also came with two empties without caps (Useless) and four prefilled tanks with caps. I've not tried them, as I prefer flavored juice, so I just emptied a couple out a reused their caps. I guess I'll order new caps. Still seriously the best price...

A lot of people don't like Envy, and I understand. The Bliss I got first only ever lasted about fifteen minutes sadly. Price you pay for having an e-cig smaller than a real cig... Anyhow, I seriously called and made sure the ego tank was made by joyetech then I got one as fast as I could.

No matter who you get it through though, the eGo-T pretty much is the awesome-est

Ya this weekend was the first time I had a battery die on me. I usually wait until they have a little less than half battery life and switch to the second 1000mah while the first charges. But I was on the roof of the hotel and it went out right during the fireworks show. One thing I really like about these ego batteries is that they are compatible ith other 510 sized products. I got my 510 atty and drip tip yesterday
