New to vaping, started less than a week ago after smoking cigs for about 9years. Buddy of mine recommended a nice device to start with, sigelei 50watt box mod with aspire nautilus tank setup. Half of the time when I go to puff, it makes the proper noise but no vapor is produced. It happens on the first puff sometimes after sitting for minutes and on the 2nd 3rd more often. But then it'll hit nicely for hours. Is it something I'm doing wrong or? Also it will occasionally spew juice up the drip tip and that's nasty lol.

Maybe the temperature has something to do with the flooding.
I read this on a post here in ECF.

Changes in temperature affect the vacuum system inside the tank. The Vacuum works to regulate the proper amount of liquid into the coil...There is an air pocket above the liquid That acts like putting your finger over a straw and picking up a liquid .That vacuum keeps your e-liquid from flooding out your coil...Going into a warmer setting causes the air pocket to expand which allows more liquid into the coil. To much change in temp and it floods.

I find if a roll a piece of tissue real fine and put it through the tube to the coil and can fix the flooding vs blowing it out since you have a spring and bottom cap that will trap juice. I also when not using them store them upside down. Any access juice flows out and there is zero chance for it to leak or flood while not using it. That is more for the overnight vs an hour.

A flooded tank will generally produce less than normal vapor and cause the juice flavor to be harsh. To clear flooding:
Remove the tank from your pv.
Wrap the drip tip area of the tank with a paper towel or tissue.
Point the drip tip towards the ground and swing the tank vigorously.
This should cause juice to eject from the drip tip. Repeat two or three times.
Reassemble and vape on.
