Hello everybody,

I just got a dse084 in the mail today, charged the battery, and put in a fresh cartridge. Trouble is I am not getting much vapor. Hopefully someone can help. I charged the battery for a hour and a half according to the instructions. The cart seemed filled well. At first I got a small amount of vapor but after two or so draws I got nothing. I tried dripping directly onto the atomizer and still got nothing.

I have done some reading around this forum and expect I should charge up the battery longer than the manufacturer suggests. Is there something else I am missing? This is my only e-cig with just one battery so I don't want to mess it up before I even know if this kind of thing is for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you overdripped you may have flooded the atomizer. Unscrew it and blow from the thread side on the atomizer, this should remove liquid and let dry out a bit then give another shot. I think you only get a couple good puffs then you need to reload so to speak, annoying but that how it works for me. If dripping, two drops max and flooding should be less frequent. This is why some just top up the cart helps mitigate the flooding issue. Good luck

after the light is green it is at its capacity and recieves no more of a charge. I could be wrong so someone may need to verify that. I view the batteries the same as you. When I used a smaller device I had to use a couple at a time to meet my cravings (my face looked like a raisin after a couple days). The batteries were no match for my desire to have a good lung full of vapor. Just something to consider.

I agree with wv2win, if you want a more pleasurable experience visit the suggestions made. Using the small ones to start with makes the experience worse than it needs to be. Seems like a lot of us from the e-cig world were scared from the poor functioning of the smaller devices which frustrate the hell out of anyone.

I hear ya aspen and wv2win. I've been smoking about 2 packs a day for 15 years now so throat hit is no doubt very important to me. The main reason I bought the dse084 is that it was $45 with a 10mL of 18mg juice including shipping. Perhaps there is a better buy but it was a bit of an impulse buy for me.

Besides the price I thought a dse084 might be a good starter for me just because it looks like a cigarette. The whole psychology of smoking is very important to me. Although I really do really want to quite I have to admit I enjoy smoking. The look, the feel, everything is just nice. You know what I mean? Anyway, something that looks like a small cigar would also probably work for me as well. Perhaps, a Janty dura would be the best idea for me.

Anyway having tried the gum and herbal cigarettes before I'm just a bit skeptical this will work and didn't want to spend to much. The herbal cigarettes have made me realize just how much the weight of the smoke in my lungs is important. Would you say that some models provide more of a weighty feeling than others? By weighty feeling I'm refering to the feeling that you've actually inhaled something not just the sensation at the back of your throat (which I assume is what you me by throat hit).

Just noticed the charger light turned green after about 1 hour. Hopefully, it will work better now. Have you two seen igetcha69's review of the dse084? I'm kind of expecting vapor like in his video but haven't got it yet. I have noticed his atomizer is different so maybe I have an older model. Not sure if that makes much difference.

Weighty feel = throat hit/lung hit. I've tried many PV's. The only way to get what you are looking for is with a manual switch PV. The bigger the battery, the better the hit and the longer time frame between charges. Nicotine strenght is also a factor in better throat hit. I use 24 mg nic strength. Some members use 36mg but that is getting harder to find. I would get some 24 mg liquid and get one of the manual PV's. You will definitely get a throat hit closer to the real thing when you can heat that atomizer up as much as you want. All four of these are very good, with the GG and Prodigy probably giving the biggest hit due to the 5/6 volt batteries.

The Big Four in Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black SD Kit. $159.99. Plus 1 free 30ml Bottle of Wicked.
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: THE GG
JantyStick: Janty USA

510: e-Smokey Treats - Electronic Cigarette's, The healthy alternative to traditional tobacco cigarette's

Thanks again wv2win. I'm going to play around with my 084 a bit before I make a decision but I am curious on why you recommend the janty stick and not the janty dura. I like the appearance of the dura but if the stick is better I'll rethink things. Once again thanks for your help.

The Janty Dura-C is the same PV as the Joye 510. I have the Prodigy and the Screwdriver. The 510/Dura-C are well liked on this forum. My only issue with them would be the short battery life (2-3 hours) and the cost to replace the batteries ($13-$20). Other than that, they seem to be very good PV's.

My dse084 +50 cartridges is in the mail , you scare me , i hope it gona work (coming from ryan direct) i dont wana put 90$ (canadien) in trash:nah: ...

If you are a very light smoker then it might work for you. Don't expect much throat hit or long battery life (maybe 1-2 hours), but that might be all you need. Worst case, every vaper needs a back up unit and this could be yours if you buy a second PV.

I will say, everyone I know prefers using juice over the prefilled carts. The juice tastes better, costs much less and there is much more variety.
