Bullet point background: 2 smokers, both smoked 20+ years 1 1/2 to 2 ppd (most recently ryos to conserve $ on a increasingly tight budget) Since getting our ecigs (ego ce4 clearo w/900mah batt) on July 2nd (4 days now) we have decreased our analog intake to less than 3 a day (I had 0 yesterday, but caved today, 1 is better than 30 though). I am a stay at home mom and he works 11-12 hour shifts doing secuity 4 nights a week.

We have found ourselves feeling almost "giddy" about getting our "magic sticks". We talk about them constantly, with friends that have them already and those that don't, and with each other. Flavors are exciting topics around here. We are already talking about and looking forward to DIYing our own flavors the 1st of next month.

Funny story: Three weeks ago, I bought 2 cherry scented oil diffusers. They were cheap, and I could only smell them if I stood right next to them. Needless to say, I'd decided I would not be getting them again. Well, today, we went to the store, and after 4 days of barely smoking in the house at all, the smell has apparently dissipated enough that when we got home, it smelled like cherries throughout the house. Not just in the room where the diffusers are, but the whole house had hints of cherry scent in them. I almost cried.

I've been worried about irritating the people closest to me/us with the excitement I have about my "magic stick" and although I'm not one to usually give a rat's behind about what other people think, wanting it to remain a positive change in my life, I'd rather not run people off with my over zealous backflips and jumps for joy, so I am happy that I've found this place where I can come and be as excited or frustrated and get all the support and pats on the back I can handle.

Happy vaping everyone!!! :p

It really is isn't it? We knew when we finally got them we wanted to quit smoking the real ones, but neither of us cornered ourselves into it. Any reduction would be better than no reduction, but when they came...we love them, we can't put them down, and the reduction is just automatic. I smoked an analog yesterday just literally to remind myself of how bad they taste and couldn't get through the whole thing. It is truly amazing!!!

Hi Crazychik, and welcome to ECF.

Right you are, it's how many you don't smoke.

If yoiu like the vape from the CE4, and decide to stay with the top coils, I'd suggest your next purchase should be along the lines of the CE5. You can inexpensively replace the coil / head in it, and not have to toss the whole thing. Of course, there are all sorts of other toppers to choose from! But look for ones that can be rebuilt rather than tossed out.

Hi and welcome. I started with ego kits and still use them till this day. (7 months in)

yea, and watch out for those bad smells. When i quit, I remember smelling the car engine. I thought it was on fire or something. It was just normal engine combustion smell. I had never noticed before! :?:

Oh yeah definitely the car engine! I too had a few days where I swore something was burning while I was driving, until I figured out that I was just smelling the exhaust from all the cars on the road!

When I started almost a year ago we had a number of friends who were trying ecigs and I was smoking a pack a day of medium cigars. I had no intention to quit smoking, just wanted to try something different. Long story short: within a week I was no longer smoking cigars at all. Still have 5 or six packs in an air-tite ammo can that I occasionally give to some buddys that still smoke them. Says a lot about ecigs to me to quit when you didn't even have that mindset. It was sooooo easy.
Now I vape too much but I can smell my father-in-laws cigars when he is on the other side of the house smoking. Eeeew, stinks! I don't bug him about it though as I lived in that glass house once!
