Hi all, just wanting to say hi. Started vaping about a week ago, still smoking though. Been trying to quit for about two years now, on and off. The day after I purchased a carton I walked into a vape store and purchased a protank 2 with a vision spinner. Ended up having it fall out of my pocket on the bus...hope it finds a good home, so went back and purchased another one. ugh. Once this carton is finished I'm hoping to be just vaping. Figure it will be a bit tough though. Anyway, that's me.

Hang in there. Just remember all the great benefits of switching to vaping from smoking. Saving money, improved taste and smell, delicious flavors, your health and many more.

It's crazy looking back at the challenge of switching, but now after two years of vaping i actually CAN'T enjoy a cigarette anymore. I smoked a pack a day for three years and now the smell and taste of them make me nauseous. I wish you the best of luck. I really hope you enjoy vaping and choose to switch :)

Happy Vaping Everyone!

Well you made the most important step and that is the fact that you decided to try vaping. You might have some trial and error, but you will get there. Hang in there and you will feel so much better once you're not smoking anymore!

Good luck and if you need any help or advice, you have found the best place here on ECF. Everyone here is awesome and soooo helpful. I found so much info here that has kept me going through the tough times.

Welcome and Good Luck!!

I'll use this as an opportunity to say hello, as well as get a post . Can't do much without 5 posts. Welcome to the site, and just remember that everyone quits differently. I've been vaping for about three years, and have ZERO interest in cigs. I have introduced many of my coworkers to vaping as an alternative to smoking. Some are vape geeks now, like myself. Some vape, but still have a smoke now and then. Instead of a pack a day, they're only smoking two or three cigs a day, and Vaping the entire day. In short, don't feel bad about still smoking. If you've cut back on smoking since you took up Vaping, things are going in the right direction. I truly believe that after a while, those nasty, smelly, toxic cigs will become less appealing. If you're smoking less since you started vaping, all is well my friend. Your body will adjust at its own pace. Good Luck!

Hi Mdoch and welcome. Sorry about your protank, that'd break my heart really. I have a close relationship with mine. I smoked and vaped for about 2/3 weeks before I just made my mind up not to. I found a pack of cigs in my car recently, but had no desire to smoke them. Blows my mind. I started at 18mg, went up to 24, back to 18. I'm now at 12mg. Best of luck to you with your new journey!

Hello and welcome.

I can understand not wanting to waste the carton of cigs before starting vaping, but as some have already said, you can do both. You can start vaping whenever you desire to. When I first started vaping I thought all mine were gone(really was just a coindence that my first ecig gear showed up when I thought I had 2 left in one pack). So while my battery was charging I finished them up and said done. A couple of months later I found a full unopened pack in my kitchen drawer. It sat there for 2 years before I finally threw them out. Everyone is different so you can only go by what you experience and learn about your own body and likes, etc.

Good luck....glad you found ECF

:)
