Hello!! Im daisy1. Ive been trying to quit smoking for several years. My mother and sister(demoness) gave me an e-cig for christmas. I need to thank demoness for taking the first steps and trying the e-cig. She is doing very well with the new method. This encouraged me to try it. Although i cant really start right away, i am getting to know how it works and how to use it more efficiently. I placed my first order for juice today so i hope to be up and running in just a few days. Look forward to getting to know my new family along with my own.

She is using the Riva 510 from liberty flights if anyone wants to know. I thought that would be a great pick for her since she isn't home most of the day and the batts seem to last forever!

Welcome! You have a great starter kit! Where did you buy your juice from? What flavors are you trying out? My first "favorite" flavor was a "camel" clone, and once that was done I moved on to the sweet stuff. New favorites are "caramel apple" and "wintermint" ... I still enjoy a good "tobacco-like" flavor once in a while, especially in the mornings, and whenever I have had too much sweet for my own good.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on such a splendid Christmas gift. Be prepared to start hating cigarettes before long, if not already. After smoking for 40+ years and trying several times to quit, vaping had been the easiest, most effective means for me to quit smoking. There is lots of encouragement and support, as well as a wealth of info.

Newbie here too. I bought an ecig for my best friend/ second mom because she has terrible lungs and has smoked for over 50 years. She has done an amazing job of no smoking analogs now for months. I had to try it and now I've only been using it for 3 days and it's working for me too. I really love it! By the way it's nice to meet you and here's to future blogging together.

I think that was a GREAT choice. I'm vaping one right now as a matter of fact, and a battery lasts me all day from 8a-5p. (longer if I want it to, but when I get home I switch batts for the evening vape. )

I'm also new to all this, but haven't picked up a regular cig in over 5 days (been a 1-2pack per day full flavor camel smoker for over 12yrs)

Wow! I just love to hear the great stories about new vapers joining and how well they are doing. I wish I had help and I wish I had found this forum when I tried to quit. I am just glad I made the choice to try again. I made it this time and I love vaping way more than I ever enjoyed smoking.

Hello all,

Like Daisy, I had a friend basically give my GF his back up batt, an atty, and 10 mL of juice for me to "try" over the weekend... I'm analog free since Dec 18th, so 17 days and counting. I love it so much, and am so amazed at the speed of the transition, that I share my success with everyone I know. This is better than sliced bread!!!
