Well, I'm expecting all my Family-discount purchased goodies to be waiting for me when I get home. I have mainly vaped pre-filled cartos and have only a brief, experimental relationship with filling my own.

And although I'm THISCLOSE to being completely out of supplies (and have resorted to finishing up some leftovers from my old D2 stash), I, in my infinite wisdom, ONLY purchased blank cartos and juice.

I've watched Snow's videos on the drip and Tayrn spin (THANKS SNOW!) and that's what I'll be doing tonight. Hopefully, it will be ask easy as it seems.

But before I go and ruin all my cartos and waste all my juice and cry tears of sorrow and run out and purchase a pack of analogs, I must ask, why is it that with the few cartos I have tried to fill, I always get the gurgling sound?

I tilt the carto, drop about 10 drops, let it sit (this was pre-Tayrn knowledge), fill another, come back, add another 10 drops or so, and try to vape. And I hardly get any vapor and a ton of gurgle.

Any advice is greatly apprecaited!

i'm still new to this but...it could be that you are overfilling and have juice in the "hole"(not sure of the correct term hehe) of the cartomizer. try blowing it out (blow thru from the battery side & use a paper towel on the mouthpiece side). if there is any overfill the juice will come out on the paper towel(if you forget that step you'll have a nice mess to clean up )

Hi CoCo: I am not quite sure what you are calling a "gurgle", but to me the noise a new carto makes is a snap, pop, or crackle. To me, a gurgle means you have juice in the middle of the carto in the draw hole. Are you blowing on both ends of the carto before attaching to the battery. You should do that to clear the hole so there is no juice obstructing the air flow.

Yes, Gramva...definitely different than the new-carto snap, crackle and pop that I'm used to. I had a feeling liquid was getting into places it shouldn't...

Is this something that I can expect when doing the spin as well or does the spin fix this problem on it's own?

Coco: It is not really a problem, just something that should always be done before you attach a battery. It makes for a cleaner draw. Just blow on both ends of carto after refilling--no matter what method you use. It is pretty much impossible to keep all juice from getting in the hole. I blow on both ends, blowing on the battery end last, and then wipe the battery end with a paper towel so that any juice that came out of the hole is wiped off. Just part of the refilling process.

Let me um...just hop in for a second.

Coco thanks for the shout out on the video....always appreciated. The Taryn Spin Video was more of an educational video of what it is and how to make a lanyard than it is a direct technique video. Many new Vapers hear about the Taryn Spin and wonder what folks are talking about. Now it's great to aid in drying cartos, removing old juice, and compacting juice on cartomizers where the polyfill is wrapped too tightly preventing it from absorbing juice freely.

Gramva...no offense, but instead of blowing out any which might be in the air tube, simply apply a little pressure to the sides of the bottle, hold the cartomizer upside down, stick the dropper into the airhole and relax your grip on the bottle. The vacuum created will suck any flooded juice right back in the bottle.

As I mention in my video, when possible use a .... plug condom when refilling which will prevent juice from entering the air tube.

So...in closing the Taryn Spin has a specific use...as long as the polyfill material absorbs well you really don't need to employ the Taryn Spin. Now, you mentioned 10, then 10, then 5....I'm pretty experienced and had .... plug condom in while filling in the video which can make all the difference in the world.

This is what you should try Coco, to eliminate any problems...there is no audio on the video. This one of those "a video is worth a 1,000 words".

YouTube - Refilling Vapor4Life Cartomizers

The big key is alway place the droplets on the inside of the Carto housing and let them absorb into the polyfill material. On a fresh Carto 5 in a little circle pattern to start, then all the rest while holding the Carto in place at an angle...3 and wait, 3 and wait, do that 5-6 times (20-23 drops), then remove the condom, look down the air tube (best if there is a light source behind it) if the air tube is clear you are ready to vape. If by chance there is a little juice in the air hole (say...you don't have a .... plug condom) just do the bottle trick.

Gotta run......let me know how it works for you!

To add to some of the above advice....it sounds like it was slightly overfilled. Liquid in the center tube is no good! You can lightly blow it out or follow SD's advise about suctioning it out with a bottle, but when your done you should be able to see thru the center tube. I always aim it at a bright light and make sure I can see the light coming thru that center tube.

So I've inserted the plug where the sun don't shine... glued 5 pennies to a condom... cut my battery bag until it looks like a snowflake... tied a string around my finger.... did a Tspin to the hokie pokie playing on my stereo... and injected juice directly underneath my thumbnail...

Am I on the right track??? :)

Seriously... did both the drip 'n spin and the syringe refill methods just as Snow instructed. Both worked like a charm, but I do believe I'm more a fan of the drip and spin even though it requires a bit more time. Had a slight gurgle on one, but it went away quickly.

Thanks SnowDragon! You and the rest of the family here ROCK!!! Entering 2 weeks analog free thanks to V4L and you guys!... but I think I've made 4 orders in this short time and I believe I now own a little stock in the company... :)

Go to the back of the stockholder line Trillius--some of us have sold our kids, 2nd and 3rd mortgaged the house, picked up aluminum along the side of the roads, have daily garage sales, pawned our jewelry, etc, etc, etc. All in the name of taking advantage of the next BIG SALE AT V4L. If I had smoked a carton of cigarettes a day, I think the tobacco habit would have been cheaper.
