Hi ECF peoples,

Type O on title: Suppose to be: NEW batteries going bad? LOL

The batteries that come with my epuffer Colibri kit are stated to allow for up to 200 charges. I highly doubt I have reach that yet (it's only been 2 weeks since I bought the kit), but the batteries seem to be getting weak. They will flash when dead (as normal) and charge fully again (light goes out on the battery when charging in the PCC), but the performance seems not the same. Are they on their way out or, would that only be the case if they no longer charge?

TY

Notes:

. Lithium Rechargeable Batteries (Ø= 7.8mm, battery+cartridge length: 84mm)
. Slim Pack Charger 110/240V

Hi Tmcase,

I don't have another charger. Only the PCC. I just ordered X3 batts from ecigexpress. They are the same as the batts used with my epuffer kit (half the cost btw) and they come with a USB thingy so, I'll check for sure. Could the PCC be failing even if the lights are saying all is well? When you place a dead batt in the PCC, the batt with light bright orange and dim slowly until dark/charged in about an hour. That is happening.

Thanks for your help ;-)

I have had the Colibri for about 3 weeks now and have not noticed any reduced performance. Like it was when new, the batteries still last about 1.5 hours of vaping. So I go through almost 2 fully charged batteries per day with the charge time on the PCC about the same as yours (1-1.5 hours).
Have you been refilling and / or reusing the same cartomizers that came with it. Depending on how much you've been vaping with it, you may need to refill and / or clean your carts or get new ones.
If not the carts, then it may also be the way your vaping. Slightly Long (about 4 seconds) and light is usually the best.
If not vaping method, then it maybe the PCC. Have you tried charging the battery in the PCC while the PCC is plugged in and charging? Any difference?

Thanks so much for the post, eman!

Yep, even with a new cart and the PCC plugged in, they feel weak after a charge. I have found a place that sells the same X3 batts and carts for less and I get them today. I also have a USB charger coming so I can test to see if it is the PCC or just the batts. Like I said, they will charge fully but after 5 puffs (slow and until the cutoff kicks in) they feel very weak and it's hard to get a good vape. You know as I do that the Colibri is a pocket rocket so, something is wrong. ePuffer asks we send them back for testing as we still have a warranty but -

ps. This new place was also told by Kimree that the liquid they sell for the X3's is what is in the Colibri carts. We'll see LOL.

DawnBella,
Yes, I saw from your previous posts about the X3. Please let me know how it turns out and the interchangeability of charging with the Colibri Battery and PCC. Sounds like they are the same thing but the Colibri has the "epuffer" branding. I, too, would like to get some replacement batteries and carts at a not so outrageous price.
BTW, I have the problem of when I plug in the charger cable into the PCC, it doesn't make a solid connection with the PCC, and I have to rest the PCC just right in order for the connection to stay (the blue light to stay on). Did you experience this with yours?
And, yes, I love my pocket rocket.
Thanks.
