I went from there to the mvp's and was very pleased with the battery life and ease of usage. I wish I had known then what I know now.

I have the 30w iStick, waiting on vape mail for my 50w iStick.

I started with the 20w which was my step up from an ego battery and it was good but the 30w is miles better. Great threading on the 510 connector, spring loaded center pin and plenty of power in a small little box good power output.

Just make sure your tank and coils can handle it.

Agree with most of this.

I think any of the iSticks would be a good bet. They are inexpensive and reliable, although while I won't run into the technical reasons why, the 20w and 30w (to my knowledge) 'run a little hot' . In other words if you vape at 15 watts on another device you may need to vape the istick a bit lower, maybe 13 watts. But it's adjustable so it's not a huge issue if you're happy to just adjust it to how it feels rather than the number it gives you.

Not sure if the 50w has the same issue. From what I've read it might not but it needs a thorough review online somewhere to see. ANYWAY... don't necessarily be put off by the fact it goes up to 50w, you don't have to use that power and the battery in it is huge (4400mah). The 50w ones should be available any day now.

Alternatively the innokin mvp3 (30w) might be good as that is super accurate and also has a big battery life (3800mah or something).

For a clearomiser on top someone else recommended the subtank mini. I like this device but it might produce much more vapour than you're used to with a carto (as you mentioned in your first post) as it is happier at higher wattages than you would be used to (15w-30w). A good not too power hungry, reliable clearomiser for lower wattage vaping would be a nautilus mini (or a full sized nautilus as long as it comes with the newer BVC coils like the mini does).

Went for the istick and GS air tank, just tried it now and WOW!!!
Need to get my head round the VV and VW stuff to sort out how to set it up, but first impressions are good!!!!
Glad you got it sorted. Sounds like a good combo.

In case you're not familiar with VV/VW (apologies if you are) remember that you adjust one or the other, not both. You adjust in VV and you get a certain wattage out based on the resistance. Or you adjust in VW and the istick applies a certain voltage to give you your wattage, based on the resistance.

VW is more popular these days. Start low and work your way up until you're happy or you start getting burnt/dry hits. Enjoy!

Everyone has been providing awesome input but just to contribute a bit, if you are looking for a long term mod, it would be great to also consider mods with replaceable batteries like the VS rDNA series, Smok Xpro series, Kanger KBOX, and more. Therefore, you don't have to replace the mod once the battery is dead.
