To get more life out of batteries, you really have to go to larger batts that will not look like s skinny cig. Another advantage of larger batteries (above 450 mAh) is that you can use low resistance cartos. These will provide more throat hit and vapor. The models i would recommend are:

- KGo
- Riva
- ePower

These are all good entry level PV that run at 3.7V and will accept low resistance cartos like Boge 2.0 ohm or Smoktech 1.7 ohm. They are all threaded for the 510 connection so they will not take the v2 cartos without an adator (can be had for a couple of bucks).

Good luck...

Hi I have just started vaping and stopped smoking. Two weeks now. I bought a kit from v2 and now think that I need to experiment. I use preloaded cartridges menthol medium. I would like a better throat hit and the batteries run out really fast. I am constantly recharging. Any advice?

For a good menthol juice try Carolina Crush from IVape.net.

Same here...bought V2 and Riva...let my brother borrow Riva when I got V2 but am getting it back...lol...he had to order his own. My batts haven't been lasting very longer either. Can go all day with the Riva and actually I am having trouble w cartomizers...just because I haven't figured it all out yet but the Riva cartridges are separate from atomizer and just seem so easier to refill, tell when the need to be cleaned. I read about holes being punched & what not in cartomizers but I am having trouble with them...can't really tell when the need to be cleaned/thrown out or filled more. Sometimes I'm not getting any flavor right after I fill them and when I try to drip more in it comes out the bottom...ugh...Riva is bigger, bulkier but seems so much easier. Gonna keep V2s for when I am on the go..

Very good advice from Stef. You will see much stumping for the eGo and it is also a good upgrade from what you have, but the three that Stef pointed out have more volts and more mAh batteries than the eGo but are the same size and cost.

Another model that is getting some real positive reviews is the EVO:

Big Battery Mods

(I believe the site description is a little misleading as I believe it is about the same size as the Kgo, etc)

Congrats on your 2 week milestone! I admit, I'm very spoiled, as I have a brick-n-mortar e-cig shop less than 10 minutes away. I started(and still use) the Bud's TM and its been very good so far. I was a PAD analog smoker, and one TM gets me through both commutes(56 minutes or so each way) plus my "normal" 11-12 hour day. I do end up refilling the clearomizer at about noon - not because its empty, but because I ran one empty once and the flavor was horrible. I get ~9 days per clearomizer, and am experimenting with various cleaning techniques.

The Buds seems to be lesser known, but I have nothing but praise for it (and I get super support from my local shop).

Just my $.02

I second the KGO... I started with V2 and those batteries are never going to last for more than a few hours. The KGO will last all day and longer. It's fatter than your V2, but if you want longer batt life, you have to get away from the slim ones like the V2. No, your V2 cartos won't fit, but you can get an adapter for a couple bucks from Hoosier ECig... they also have the KGO. I seriously wish I'd started with this KGO... it is truly awesome!! Watch some video reviews on it.. you can't go wrong with it! Oh yeah,, use 1.7ohm low rez cartos on the KGO.. best vape ever!!
