Hello All,

This will be on ongoing thread just to have a little fun. We'll be doing some contests, some special deals and giveaways, chit-chat, and just fun in general.

There are multiple contests within this thread. You can re-enter each new contest as they come up. The current contest begins on page 18, post 173

To kick things off, I'm going to do a contest for a bottle of juice. Tomorrow at 11AM I will randomly pick a winner. To enter, just go to NextSmoke- Electronic Cigarettes and Smoking Alternatives and tell me what flavor and strength of juice you want to try. Please also post how you heard about vaping. For this contest, you may only enter 1 time and your post must state "This is my official entry". You can post more than once in the thread, but you can only enter the contest one time.

I'll start it off. I heard about vaping in 2009 in an article on cnet.com. I did a little research and ordered a starter kit. As soon as I got the kit, I made the switch and haven't looked back. For me, the biggest draw to vaping was saving money. I figure I've saved thousands since making the switch!

This is my official entry. Whee!

I heard about it from a friend 3-4 years ago, but discounted some of his experiences - the level of info on the internet was questionable at best, and he also swears that ham radio is the wave of the (retro) future (He also moved right into homebuilt mods, DIY juices, etc - way more than I wanted to deal with..)

I decided to give it another try this year and just barely avoided buying the online version of the retail/mall kits. (Still ended up with cigalike, but an employee liked them so I sold it to him at a huge discount and moved on to clearos and tanks.) Found ECF just in time and did a LOT of reading..

I'd love to try the cola in an 11mg mix. So far I've hesitated on any of the cola flavors, but it is something I really want to try.

I would like to try your Next Mocha Latte Juice. Sounds really good.

I have to be honest. Hard as I try I just can't remember where and how I first heard about e-cigs. It must have been something on a news web page but I can't put my finger on it. The really important part is that I did hear about them. Was on my regular trip to town to pick up supplies including a stop by the smoke shop to get my weekly supply of smokes. I asked if they had any of these new fangled things and low and behold she said "y yes we do" Bought a cheap expensive kit but in the long run it was worth every penny. I also bought my regular supply of smokes. Needless to say, but I will. I never did smoke those smokes.

My brother actually got me into vaping. He had ordered one of those rip of kits where they send you more carts each month. he was smart and cancelled his credit card once he found out the scam. So from there we went on the search. I ordered my first 901. it was hit and mix for a year or two and now Am vaping strong.

Would love to try Next Vanilla Juice in 18mg. Thank you for the contest

I first heard about vaping from a neighbor/friend who told me about the disposables at the gas station! I tried one and quickly went to a local brick and mortar store and then, to the net for great deals on all kinds of new and different things that were not available locally! And, to ECF, of course! I have been obsessed ever since!

I would love to try the Next Vanilla Juice in 18mg... because I have had a really hard time trying to find a good Vanilla juice that doesn't taste like cake frosting!!

I first found out about vaping from a staff member at a clinic I was at once... and he gave me the link to the ECF.
It was the best thing that anyone ever did for me, and I carry the ECF business cards with me all the time and hand them out whenever somebody asks where they can find out more info on ecigs...
A close friend (non-smoker) offered to make me a gift of whatever I needed to get started, and it took months of research to finally make a decision. He even got me a disposable ecig to see if I would even like it... and the rest, as they say, is history...
That was over 2 1/2 yrs. ago and I haven't had a real ciggie since my 2nd day of vaping!!!


Btw, I just love the changes you made to the Juice page!! Much easier to read now...

Thanks for the feedback on the juice page. That's why I love ECF, it's a great place to get good feedback from real world users. Someone (might have been you) mentioned that the juice and cart pages were a little confusing, so we made the switch

Thanks to everyone else who has entered so far. The "how did you hear about vaping" is one of my favorite topics in the e-cig realm. Always fascinating to me to see how other people heard about it.

I first read of ecigarettes via internet news media. I search and saw the 'come ons' with the pretty young ladies in the lounge-like night scenes. I thought that looked a little too-too. I didn't do anything for about 2 years. In late 2010, when the courts found that ecigs were not a drug deliver device, my interest was again peaked. In early 2011, I did four days of search in a white heat, a lot of that via ECF. I found a budget vendor and ordered. My 36mg juice and 808 ecigs arrived along with a passthrough. I credit 36 mg juice and 5 volts via USB with helping me having switched on a dime. While I've cut my nicotine level back to 24 mg, I haven't looked back. I'm glad I didn't suffer the embarrassment and perhaps financial blows that some did with some of the early mass product vendors.

I'd like to try Red Juice at 24 mg/ml.

I do like peppermint and would like to try it in 18mg.

I can't be sure, but I probably first heard about vaping from the horribly overpriced kiosk in the mall several years ago. $150 for one RN4081 battery, a charger and a few cartos was out of my league but when the convenience stores started selling a comparable kit for $20. It wasn't enough to get me to quit but, when I was able to cut my smoking in half rather effortlessly, I was bitten by the vaping bug. Searching for reviews on better equipment that weren't just marketing hype led me to ECF and, 2+ years later, the rest is history.

This is my official entry!! I would like to try waffle in 8mg. After all, who wouldn't want to inhale a bunch of waffles?

I heard about ecigs a year or two ago. Even started researching them middle of last year but then I saw something shiny and forgot all about it. Tried to quit smoking in September and that went... Well, let's just say it went poorly. Then the final quarter of the year hit with a vengeance and next thing I new I was facing yet another derby season as a smoker. Unacceptable.

I'm one of the apparent few that didn't start out with a cigalike or a disposable. I put in about a week of research (while smoking), ordered an eCo-T knock-off kit (while smoking), and waiting impatiently for my kit to arrive (while smoking). When it arrived I filled up the cruddy "tank" that came with my system (while smoking), put it all together (while smoking), took a drag off a partially charged battery, and went from a pack a day to none 4 days later.

My vaping journey started when my wife and son asked me to look into those "free ecigs" they had heard about. I soon found that "free" meant $129. After further searching, I found ecf. From there I used the advice to order a Kgo and a RIVA with some popular ejuices. It took me three days to end a 35 year habit.

I'd like to try the Next Best Blend in a 24 mg!

I've heard about e-cigs for quite some time, and Gma was pestering me get one, heck, she even offered to buy me one if I'd try it. You know, one, of course from Harriet Carter catalog. I just kept saying no, I didn't want to quit. I enjoyed going though 2 PAD. Enjoyed it: alone, with coffee, with soda, with doughnuts... well, you get the picture. Kinda like animal crackers in my soup.

Well, then, lo and behold, money started to get tight after Christmas, go figure. So, go me, I'd get a small kit from my local smoke shop, and at least it'd get me through till steel starting moving again.

Well, one vape plume led to another, and alas, I couldn't even smoke an analog after vaping on my mini e-cig. WHOA Nelly.... what the bleepity bleep bleep is going on here??? I'm losing my {gasp} partner here. We'd been through so much together, so much history.

I filed for a divorce. Right then, on the spot. And, it was granted. I quit smoking. Hmph, who'd have ever thought that?

I kept hearing about electronic cigarettes / ecigs online for a few years, but never looked into it much, thinking it was some fad or something definitely not worth looking into as a real cigarette alternative. Then one day something caught my eye on ebay I think, so I started googling, and then I found ECF. I was immediately intrigued by the success stories here, and started reading more and more! After a week or two of reading and seeing all the sucess stories here I finally decided I'd give it a try. Needless to say, here I am, surrounded by all the lovely people that are ECF, and have now kicked analogs in the .... for good!!

Thank you ECF for being all that you are, without all the generous vendors and nice helpful members I'd still be sucking on death sticks!!

AlanB, I'd love to try your waffle juice if I win @ 24mg. I've never had any waffle juices, and have been meaning to try one for a while now, so I think it's time and I'd be happy to try yours first!

Yep... I was the one who made the suggestion about the Juice page... and it's nice to know that, as a vendor, you actually listen to what people have to say... and take them seriously!!

I, as well, truly love reading the quit stories! I also find their juice page nice, large pictures and text are GRAND!! I abhor trifling and clicking to get to a description of what some weird named juice is.

I was unaware of e-cigs until my daughter gave me hers to take on a long drive with my mother.I was griping over the fact that I would be stuck in a car for five hours and then a hotel room overnight with no smoking.I was a 2 pack a day smoker and it was going to be a nightmare for me.The very first day I used it I smoked four cigarettes.FOUR from FORTY.This was last November.I have never looked back.I am a vaper now.
