This juice is so unique I figured it was worth posting something about. It has a musty green tea flavor that is actually pretty good - very herbal, a little like herb, and sweet. It is a relatively thick juice and dark, but not so thick that it didn't work just fine in my cartomizers.
It is part of the NHaler Lung Juice line, which is interesting in itself, I really like the concept of reportedly lung-healthy ingredients in e-liquid, but this one is particularly unique. It took me some searching to figure out why - I originally planned on ordering some Watermelon and Green Tea, but when I saw the Sleepy Time I thought I would order that too just to see if there was a difference in taste between Green Tea and Sleepy Time Green Tea. I assumed the only difference would be that Sleepy Time had less nicotine, which is usually recommended for evening vapes so as not to disrupt falling asleep with high nic.
Anyway, when the juice arrived it was clear that Nic content was not the only difference as regular Green Tea is pretty clear and Sleepy Time is very dark (with less nic) and has a much stronger more herbal taste. So I started seaching Sleepy Time in the forums and found that Sleepy Time has melatonin in it.
Melatonin is supposed to help your body manage its biological clock, among other things. Your body produces melatonin in the dark, and does not produce it in the light, so I guess it helps you fall asleep. It is supposed to be pretty safe even at relatively high doses, and effective in very small doses. Wikipedia it if you are curious.
So, I decided to see what that was all about and vaped Sleepy Time pretty heavily starting at about 6pm. I didn't fall asleep any ealier than I normally do, but around 10pm I was toast and mustered the energy to go to bed. Then I slept until about 8 in the morning and could have gone longer - I just did not want to get up. That's 10 hours, which is a VERY long sleep for me. I never sleep more than 8 hours, usually only 7. Once I mustered the will to rise, I didn't feel the need to go back to sleep but I was a little groggy for a short time.
I used a much lighter "dose" the next night, only using Sleepy Time for my last vaping session of the evening at about 9pm and the effects were much more mild - I didn't actually notice any effects if there were any (that kind of much-more-mild).
Bottom line is Sleepy Time is really unique, it tastes great, produces great vapor, has a decent and a little bit unique throat hit, and definitely does deliver the melatonin. It is a bit of a bummer that you really can't just use it as a regular vape because it tastes great, but you should only use it when and where you would otherwise choose to take a melatonin supplement.
I'd love to see more unique ideas like this out there. Kudos to Nhaler for an excellent one of a kind juice.
